No. You need to build a road to connect them. It's a distinct difference from CivIV. Rivers do not connect trade routes. Only harbors and roads/railroads do.If a city is located on a river that runs out to the ocean, can it connect to another city along the coast...or in my situation, another city along a DIFFERENT river that also runs out to the ocean?
Lol for the same reason quick combat and movement is ALWAYS selected before I start a game. I always have to unselect quick movement since it looks so out of place on the map. Also Byzantium and Emperor is always the 'default' selection for single player.
I'm guessing there's some code you have to edit in some file to change this. I'd like to know as well.
Can you build a city closer than four hexes if it is built on a separate landmass or island?
