Quick Questions and Answers

I have asked this before but solution didnt work. Is there anyway to save advanced settings for quick combat and movement? Game remembers other advanced settings like raging barbarians, world age etc... and I chance other settings from advanced menu quite often

Going to advanced settings and choosing and then back and starting game doesnt work. Guick combat and movement are always unselected when starting new game

Lol for the same reason quick combat and movement is ALWAYS selected before I start a game. I always have to unselect quick movement since it looks so out of place on the map. Also Byzantium and Emperor is always the 'default' selection for single player.

I'm guessing there's some code you have to edit in some file to change this. I'd like to know as well.
If a city is located on a river that runs out to the ocean, can it connect to another city along the coast...or in my situation, another city along a DIFFERENT river that also runs out to the ocean?
No. You need to build a road to connect them. It's a distinct difference from CivIV. Rivers do not connect trade routes. Only harbors and roads/railroads do.

This was fixed in the November patch. If you have the November patch (and the hotfix) and it's still "stuck" for you, try this: Go to the Game Setup menu and pick some other civ, map type, difficulty level, etc.. Then go to the Advvanced Tab, select (or unselect) Quick Combat and/or Quick movement. Then back out to the main Game Setup screen and launch the game from there. Then quit that game and go back to the Game Setup screen. Hopefully, your new options stuck.

how do i install mods for civ5 campain edition from the mac app store how do i find mods for the campain edition and do u know of money and unit mods that add cheats

@VIP - you might want to ask in the Mac forum.

@KingKirkpatrick - luxuries give you happiness. You get some bonuses with certain buildings as well.

But you only get happiness from one instance of a luxury (either one you've improved, one you've traded for, or one provided by a CS ally), so you should trade away any extras. Also, periodically, your cities will ask for a specific luxury--if you connect that luxury, those cities go into a "We Love the King Day" growth mode (25% growth). And, as Camikaze notes, certain buildings can provide enhanced gold yields for specific luxury tiles (e.g., mint for gold and silver tiles).

Is it possible to play Vanilla Civ 5 after you have bought and installed Gods & Kings?

Yes. On the main menu, click on DLC and that pulls up a menu of the DLC you have installed. The G&K Expansion is treated as a DLC. Just uncheck the expansion and you can play vanilla (as modified by the Fall patch).

It does not create a mine, but it will connect strategic resources to your trading network. It does NOT connect luxury resources. So, feel free to drop a citadel (or other great person tile improvement, like academy, landmark, etc.) on coal, uranium, horses, etc., but not on copper, gold, silver, etc.

Hy all
i looked at forums/mods anywhere but i can not find an answer is there a way in civ 5 (vanilia or modded) to move stacked military and non military units together? as much i apreciat the new system of civ 5 i just feel it a pain to move units to somewhere protecting a worker or a missionary if i need to do it (go to protect, then "space" 6-7 times a turn in big naval religius migrations on huge maps)
it makes the play of civ 5 (wich seems to be designetd to be faster then its precedents) really slow to me :S

Let's say someone builds a world wonder in a city. This city gets razed.
Is the wonder then lost to the game or again free for grabs?

Edit: Thanks for the reply.

Nope. Razing destroys the wonder and no one else can build it.

This doesn't happen very often in practice, since most wonders get built in capitals and capitals can't be razed (except, IIRC, in OCC games, if the capital is captured by the OCC player).
