Quick Questions / Quick Answers

Edit: I'm blind. There was one right on the front page.

What happened to the VP modpacks people used to make and share here? The ones that "disguised" the mod as a DLC so that we can boot up the game directly into its booted version, and play multiplayer? I'm still intimidated by the process of making my own; the posted downloads were very helpful.

Is the AI programmed not to 'finish off', i.e. destroy weak units? It seems that the AI misses a lot of opportunities to completely destroy units. It also seems to prioritize any allied CS, other Civ, or barbarian units over mine for targeting when it has multiple choices. Am I nuts? (Rhetorical. The one has naught to do with the other) :crazyeye:

There is code for it, yes. If you think there's an issue you can post a bug report on Github, although it likely has been fixed by now.

I think one issue, though it might have been changed now, is when at war the enemy civ always seem to beeline an nearby allied CS to the detriment of all else. This is all will & good, but if my main cities are being invaded, caring about taking an enemy CS is not on the agenda.

Bug reports go on Github. :)

When looking at other civs culture compared to your own, they have a percentage of 10% gain if you have boredom unhappiness in empire, but if you compare against their culture they never seem to have this percentage gain. Is this because their boredom levels are always postive or not included when culture is calculated.

Because of the order of priority, very unhappy cities will sometimes have little to no boredom because it's all taken up by distress, poverty and illiteracy.

I'm getting 100% gpu usage while running the game, this doesn't happen with any other game. In game there is no lag but when alt tabbing other programs and windows are frequently unresponsive. Anyone has any idea for the cause? This problem started very recently (I didn't change mods, still running the same mods from weeks ago where I didnt have the problem)

Gpu is radeon 580x which has 8gb dedicated memory

How can I reduce the supply cap by a 50%? for every civ in the game not only me.

If you want to generate great scientists, how many cities with max specialists is it worth having?

Just completed the tech (forgot name) so I'm able to build pioneers and I noticed the cost was rather high compared to settlers. Then I took a look in the database and noticed that the cost was 0 for both units.

What determines their cost ingame?

The cost increases per number of owned cities.

Currently a good strategy is to build a settler then use to gold to upgrade to a pioneer.

10101100, it depends on how many cities in total you have and whether you're playing Tradition, Progress or Authority. Can you share a bit more information?

Is Morocco supposed to be able to kill your TRs in your territory? If so his power is a lot cooler than I thought it was.

They can, but shouldn't unless they really hate you/don't mind that you hate them.
