I understand people with slower machines use it in late game because they have to, but it looks like one big mess to me. I never got used to it. Are you saying that you actually use it voluntarily?They miss out on so much. Strategic view gang for the win. Once you get used to it, you do not come back to normal.
Update: I found the one from 2015 ("War log" by Andruh, for BNW). But it says "DLL replacing Mod", so I think it will not work with VP/EUI. But I still hope there's sth new...There was a mod which could send combat infos to notifications log, but I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know if its still available, and if it is compatible with latest VP version? I'd really like to use it again...![]()

So you literally can't take use of your new computer, then?I began using it when my computer was slow, as you can imagine. But in the end I decided to stay that way even after buying a better one. It makes informations much clearer, and so decision making (without having to check if a tile has a hill or not below that forest) become much quicker for me. I was simply joking (because I'm fond of the way people act surprised when I talk about it), but I'm aware that I'm isolated on that front, in the same way I'm isolated on the front of designing UCs (a tendency to add UNWs, as you can see for 4UC).
Interesting. My biggest problem with the strategic view is probably how unit icons are no centered in the middle of the tiles. I always get lost about what is where. And the bright colors probably contribute to my confusion. But I believe you that if you get used to it, it works well.I began using it when my computer was slow, as you can imagine. Yes, sometimes, but I think that was because files were damaged. Can you play, save a new one and reload that?
I am quite sure it is not basically an issue with the latest version of VP because I have no problems loading savegames. Sorry to say I have no better idea than a complete reinstall of VP (if you haven't already done this) or ask again in the istall thread and hope for wiser men's answers there![]()
Strange... it seemed to be infectious. Just now I could not reload a savegame, because "Not all required mods are installed".yeah I already gave up on that gameI'll ask on the install thread, at least to advertise against what I did
Where exactly in the mod files can I find details about unique buildings? For example, where can I find the yields for Japan's Dojo from promotions?
INSERT INTO Building_YieldFromUnitLevelUp
(BuildingType, YieldType, Yield)
VALUES
('BUILDING_DOJO', 'YIELD_CULTURE', 4),
('BUILDING_DOJO', 'YIELD_SCIENCE', 4);
Can an AI declare war on you during your turn?
Sorry if this is something common but it's the first time I've seen it. Playing on the last patch, declared war on Portugal who was friends with Aztecs (but no DP since this was still Classical) and they inmediately declare war on me after closing the diplo screen with Portugal. Just wondering if this is a common occurence or what causes it.
