I'd say from 300 to 400 turns (normal), and 450 to 600 (epic). Unless you go for domination. Numbers given by @Revolutionist_8 are turns for time victory.

Empire Size Modifier affects how all the unhappiness needs are calculated via a modifier. Any non-capital city will suffer from this. The larger your empire (through cities not population), the more of an Empire Size modifier you will incur.I have read about new Empire Size modificator, but it is still not entirely clear.
