R.I.P. Stormrage

So sorry to hear this.

I liked his avatar-whatever that goblin thing is.

I remember him being quick to answer posters' questions about different aspects of Civ3.

I don't remember him ever trolling, flaming or otherwise acting childish.

I remember him being quick to give a :goodjob: to people contributing new units, building, mods, scenarios, etc.

Thanks, Stormrage! You are missed.

By child-like behavior i never meant trolling or anything of the kind. He just seemed very positive, a bit like a very small child that gets enthousiastic about the smallest thing :)

I was shocked to see this. It is very sad news indeed. Stormrage was one of the most prominent voices on this forum and, as people have said, invariably positive, enthusiastic, and encouraging. It's been that much less of an interesting place without him and it is very sad to know that he won't be coming back.

This makes me very sad.

Why is it sure, that stormie died?

Thanks Ares.

Unfortunately I don´t have knowledge with that language. But in the pinwand of that site, there were some notes with R.I.P. starting from 15th February 2009:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=wall&gid=68837121920

The last activity of stormie at CFC dated from 02-06-2009. So I think a CFC member that has knowledge of that language should have a look on the these pinnwand notes.

Edited: I can´t believe what I did read here.

Regarding this, maybe he has the auto-login set on his computer - and someone might have clicked his bookmark on that date.

I have a facebook friend who I think speaks that language (but I could be wrong); I've sent them a message to see if they can find out any information from that page. If they do manage to get any info, I'll share it here.

R.I.P. Stormy, you are sorely missed. You contributed more than most to the spirit of this site and the place is not the same without you, greenskin

I find this news exceptionally upsetting. As others have said, he was always so positive and friendly, and cheerful, and definitely encouraging. Ever since he joined I thought of him as being so full of life and spirit. He truly had a childlike spirit, in all the nice ways. I'll always associate him with this smilie which he always seemed to use more than anyone else: :bounce:

I had missed him greatly since he disappeared from this website, and I always hoped to see a comment again from him one day in one of my threads telling me how much he couldn't wait for my mod to get finished and encouraging me along.

Stormrage,
I miss you. Rest peacefully in heaven. :)
Your friend,

Alastair.

My facebook friend, Vanja, said that the tribute page doesn't actually give any details about what happened, it's mainly messages about how sad people are and how much he'll be missed.
