After the death of Rneilan the Mason of the Iroquois (he got his name due to the fact that the skill of Masonry was discovered during his reign), the Iroquois needed a leader, I, Caldazar the Builder and the Only emerged (I was given this name due to the fact that the building of The Great Road was dramatically accelerated during my reign and also that the Pyramids were begun in my reign).
I surveyed my Empire and decided that Neilania should build a Settler rather than a Temple as our Empire needed to be expanded and a Temple wasn't needed.
Turn One: 1400 BC
Exploration continued to the west of Salamanca our glorious capital. Science was decreased to 40% since this gave us more money, yet the same time to discover Writing. Construction of the Great Road continued in this time.
Turn Two: 1375 BC
Salamanca built a Settler which was sent South to found a new city and expand our glorious Empire. Salamanca began building a Temple dedicated to the Godess Aphrael. Exploration continued. Science rate was lowered giving a much higher income although at a slight expense to science. My Science Advisors cautioned against this move but they could not have known what I planned...
Turn Three: 1350 BC
The Worker near Salamanca continued improving the surrounding terrain. Exploration continued.
Turn Four: 1325 BC
Exploration continued.
I married, my Queen Ellisande who is but five years my younger and is the most beautiful woman in the Empire, her father is the Govenor of Niagara Falls and all our people approved of our blessed union.
Turn Five: 1300 BC
Exploration continued. Niagara Falls built a Barracks and began to produce Spearmen for the defence of our Empire.
Turn Six: 1275 BC
A road was begun to connect silks to the Great Road. The Worker near Salamanca continued to improve the terrain there, and scouting parties were ordered east to discover unknown lands.
Turn Seven: 1250 BC
Grand River produced a Worker which was sent to build the Great Road, and production in Grand River was changed to a Temple to allow access to Wheats for Grand River and to allow access to larger expanses of land for Grand River, Neilania and Niagara Falls.
A son was born to us, he was named al'Caldazar after myself and will become the Chief for the Iroquois people when I am gone.
Turn Eight: 1225 BC
Very little happened during these years but my son grew and became learnéd in the arts, science and warfare. He will lead the Iroquois well.
Turn Nine: 1200 BC
Caldazaria was built at the Southernmost tip of the Empire, named after the belovéd leader of the Iroquois people. Salamanca built a Temple and began production of THE PYRAMIDS.
Turn Ten: 1175 BC
A daughter was born to us, named Ellisandar after her mother she had auburn hair and bright blue eyes, just like her mother and she will grow up to be as beautiful as her mother. There were celebrations over the birth of another Royal child.
Turn Eleven: 1150 BC
The Great Road to Grand River was completed. Niagara falls built a Spearman which was sent North to defend Salamanca. The Worker near Salamanca began to chop down some Forest to provide shields for the Pyramid and give access to more grassland for Salamanca.
Turn Twelve: 1125 BC
Silks were connected to the Great Road as was Neilania, the City of my Predecessor. Exploration by our scouting parties revealed Silks in the Western Jungles. (Grand River is in the bottom right).
Turn Thirteen: 1100 BC
My son and heir al'Cadazar was killed tragically in a hunting accident. The whole nation mourns. Ellisandar is now heir to the Iroquois Empire. She excels in all her studies and should be stable for the Iroquois nation when I inevitably go.
Turn Fourteen: 1075 BC
The Great Road was extended, exploration continued. Niagara Falls produced a Spearman which was sent South to defend Grand River.
Turn Fifteen: 1050 BC
A scouting party moved East from Salamanca to discover new lands. A Settler began moving from Caldazaria to a new city site.
My wife is dead. I will not take another wife and so Ellisandar will have to survive to keep the Empire from fragmenting after my death.
Turn Sixteen: 1025 BC
The Great Road was further extended South towards Caldazar. Neilania built a Settler which was sent South, and began producing a Worker to improve the surrounding terrain.
Turn Seventeen: 1000 BC
Exploration continued east of Salamanca. The art of Writing was discovered by our Wise-Men. They now seek the art of making circular things which roll, The Wheel they call it, and they say they will know these secrets within 11 turns although this cost me 2 gold per turn my expanded coffers will deal with it as the science rate was increased to 80%. Now was my Wisdom truly shown. The piles of money amassed during my reign will support extended science well past my successors reign.
Turn Eighteen: 975 BC
Exploration continued. The Great Road was extended. Caldazaria built a Worker and began producing a Temple. This would allow improvement of the surrounding grasslands to increase Caldazaria's productivity. Niagara Falls built a Spearman which was sent South to defend Neilania.
Turn Nineteen: 950 BC
Ellisande was founded to the West of Caldazar in honour of my wife. Surrounding it are beautiful grasslands and the ocean stretches to the horizon. It is a truly beautiful place, like my wife was a beautiful person, especially when the sun sets. Ellisande began building a Worker yet this will be changed in the near future when it becomes clear what is necessary there. I envision the colossus standing there. A fitting tribute to my wife.
My daughter has married! Her husband is the son of the Govener of Neilania and is a clever man. Together they should rule my people well when I die. I am beginning to feel weak.
Turn Twenty: 925 BC
The Great Road was connected to Caldazaria. I travel there now, I am dieing and have resigned as Chief. I hope to see Caldazaria before I die, and then maybe even travel to see Ellisande and remember my happy days with my wife.
From the Personal Journal of Chief Caldazar the Builder and the Only:
I have accomplished almost everything I wanted to during my reign. the Great Road has been extended excessively and all but the city of Ellisande are connected to it. Spearmen now protect our cities instead of the Warriors and Archers produced by my predecessors although I have not disbanded these units, they could serve a purpose in the future yet. I have built two new cities and have another Settler heading to a new city site on the Southern Coast. Although only one technology was researched during my reign, I have provided funds to sustain extensive and accelerated research into my great-grandson's reign. I am at peace now, I know I have done the best for my people and am going to be re-united with my beloved wife in Heaven. Good Luck to my successor. "Long Live the New King!"
