Gah, I feel absolutely horrible now. My visiting teaching companion called me Friday (we do teaching in pairs) and asked if I would be available to make two visiting teaching appointments Sunday after church, and I said it would be fine. Unfortunately, I put off all of my homework and studying for my A&P exam until Saturday night and stayed up all night doing that like the horrible procrastinator I can be. After church Sunday I slept until 7:30PM, missing both appointments. And this is what the lady in charge of the visiting teaching/relief society sent to me today. Way to be disappointing, Firstlady!

If your talking about the high school classes it's called ap. Not a&p, it stands for advanced placement, not advanced and placement.

Dear lady on the bus: it is not necessary to spend the entire trip talking to no one in particular about nothing in particular, certainly not at that volume. It is not your fault your voice is so annoying, but you could choose not to use it so much. Like, try talking quietly, or not talking at all. But spending 20 minutes discussing the weather or the jewelry that the bus driver is wearing isn't something that you need to do loudly enough for the people on the back of the bus to hear.

For the record, hebrew was a dead language for longer than latin has been, and hebrew came back, so nothing is impossible.

hebrew wasnt dead just because there was no jewish country.
noone speaks latin with each other today...

I actually enjoy Spore quite a lot, and still hold that it can be enjoyed if you frame it correctly - as more of a sandbox than a strategy game.

However, having watched the GDC Demo from a couple of years ago on YouTube recently, I must admit that, even if it wasn't made into Complexity Wars like Civ or Europa Whateveritis, it could have been a lot better than it is, even for casual gamers like me.

(Although coincidentally, the first empire I met in Space was called the Civers Empire, and it was devoted to logic and reason. I'd love to say I wiped them out, but sadly I just allied with them. )
