Rant: The apartment building washing machine broke down. (I think someone put too many blankets in.) At least there's a laundromat nearby.

Dang. I know you live in one of those smaller buildings but just one machine isn't enough. Especially since people leave their laundry in the machine for hours and hours at a time.

My old place had six machines.

At least our building managers are pretty fast to fix things when they break down.

it's a different brand but it's the same kind of bread. possibly less crap, but it's made by the same company that produces wonder bread in Mexico: Bimbo. Most ubiquitous supermarket bread in the country.

We have Bimbo here too. I'm just shocked wonderbread is in Europe for some reason

We used to have really awful supermarket bread then a couple of companies (Warburtons and Kingsmill) came in and started producing slightly better bread and outsold everybody until they got taken over and went back to producing awful bread. Its slightly better than when I was growing up when Wonderbread/Bimbo was the standard quality but if you can afford it, have the time, and have them in your area the usual rule about bakers, butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers etc being better than the supermarket still applies.

When I used to eat bread I rated the part baked baguettes you could get a the supermarket. Reasonably cheap (39p for 2 IIRC), and pretty good to have really fresh bread whenever you wanted it.

Rant: When I'm digging through an old site on the Wayback Machine, and all I get is a solid wall of "This plugin is not supported." And you know that even if it was supported, there's a decent chance that the Flash/Shockwave files are dependent on external assets that won't work on the wayback machine....

In my town, there's a gas station with an attached McDonald's. As well, our town is in the middle of a relatively rural area. Several years ago, I was sitting in the car while my mother was getting gas there. Then next to our car pulled up a trailer...full of cattle. There were many jokes made about the freshness of McDonald's hamburgers.
