I had almost gained 700 colonist on the Island of Taiwan playing as Germany in Europa Universalis III
That was almost 15 years of colonising! And just as the 7th batch of settlers were about to arrived the idiotic single province nation of Utrech sent a spy to incite the natives. It suceeded.
The 5700 natives overpowered my single unit and my entire colony was wiped out.
At that moment I hate Utretch so much that I took a 3-hit drop in stability so I could declare war on it. I vassalise that bastard as for some reason I cannot annex. Now, I have an insane hatred for the Dutch people....

Im sure there is a difference. I heard that in Germany it costs about 2000 US dollars to actually get the license (this was a few years ago, adjust for inflation). Not to mention the tests are much more rigorous.
