By good winter, I hope you mean mild and short. Last one was too long and too cold.

My rant: why is it we can cling to some dream or ideal, that some part inside just refuses to say no, refuses to let it die, is absolutely certain and secure in the belief that it's going to happen, even if there's little reason to expect it to happen? Is it just optimistic foolishness, a last protection of sorts, because when that final part is crushed by reality, the pain would be too great to bear? Or is it actually right to hang onto that, some sort of premonition of the future, some deep, unconscious recognition of it, and should be pursued?

It's really difficult to put that into the right words, also part of the problem. And another rant: I have much to do before Tuesday and don't have the motivation to get started. Since Thanksgiving break's coming up, maybe I'm kicking into a lazy gear too soon.

I have spent kost of my years since high school doing longer distance running, and now I was chellenged to a sprint against someone this weekend, I lost. I was so fast in high school, i should have been able to win. Now I can't talk crap to anyone. i can't dunk or run fast anymore.
