Rant: I have nothing to rant about.

What is it with people who put quotes at the end of their posts? What the hell are they trying to prove? Why can't they just put those quotes at the beginning of their posts like a normal person?

Come on, I only know of like 2 people that do that.

CAUTION: RANT MAY BE CONSIDERED IMMATURE. PUT IN SPOILER TAGS IF YOU WANT TO READ (it is about not being able to message my friend due to my dad getting in the way, but there's more to it)

Spoiler :
OK. I need to message my friend about something important. I promised I would today. So I come down here to find my dad on the computer.

First point: Why is he on my mom's and my computer (we share one) if he has his own? It's basically like me taking a nap in his bed.

Then, his reply: "I'll be ten minutes, then you can message your friend."

OK. Ten minutes. I wait. I check his bedroom. Nobody there.

Then, I wait. And wait. And wait. It becomes midnight. "What happened to ten minutes?"

"I needed to do things."

"Yeah. It's been two hours. I need to message my friend."

"I've been having problems."

"Listen. I promised that I'd message my friend today. If I don't, he'll be really mad."

Then, he finally gets off after 2 hours and 15 minutes. Then, I go on.

The friend is off. I'm mad. Because my dad decides to take over mine and my mom's computer that my parents specifically made a deal (He stays off ours if we stay off ours) that he broke, I could lose a friendship.

If your friend is willing to break a friendship over you not messaging him he's clearly not a very good friend and you're probably better off without him.

not to mention if you're dad had the computer, and you were trying to message your friend, they should at least understand that

If your dad was on your computer then surely its fair enough for you to use his to IM your friend?

Maybe your dad had very important issues to take care of. :) I've had the opposite problem, I know I sometimes have terribly important stuff to do on the computer (stuff that will really affect my future) and my mother doesn't understand me and keeps telling me to stop playing on the computer. :crazyeye: In any case, I'm not blaming you. But why didn't you use his computer instead?

Well you didn't stay off your compute so you broke the deal.

This thread has... changed. And I don't like it.

Rant: Went to visit mama last night. She's on 5-SP which means she has zero "human privileges", she has to wear the hospital johnnies instead of her own clothes, she can't keep anything - anything - in her room, she doesn't get to go to the bathroom by herself, basically she's not allowed any privacy at all. They put her on 5-SP because she was forthright with the doctor about being suicidal and everything. Great way to encourage her to be honest, huh? So now, just like last time, they want to do a "family meeting" on Wednesday. I. Effing. Hate. Those. Imagine your mother is totally nutwhacked and you have to go sit in a hospital meeting room with her and your father and a few doctors, nurses, and social workers, rehashing the exact same unproductive crap you did last year. Everyone involved hates them, and they're unproductive. I can't blow it off because she'll freak if I do. I'm tired of this.

Stop worrying about it. It's really not as big a deal as you think it is.

He's 14. He's sad. Let him be sad.

<condescending> Although I'm in favor of starting a "My High School Dating Problems" thread. </condescending>
