Random Rants XI: This Title Actually Has Some Imagination

I had a lot of work last week, and since I was sick and very stressed I got almost none of it done.

Not getting either CEE3000 homework done cost be 10% of the grade in that class.

I thought that not getting my CEE3020 lab report done would just cost be 5% of the class grade, but I just noticed that the syllabus says that one must turn in every lab report in order to pass the class. (I could still withdraw and take a W so that it wouldn't effect my GPA but would still be noted on the transcript and would still count against the limit on how may credit hours HOPE will cover.)

If I get anything less than a B or don't get at least 1 A this semester I loose the HOPE scholarship.

We get two English grades, one for English Language and one for Literature. My target for both is B. As already said, I got C in my Language grade, but I acheived an A* in my Literature. That obviously isn't good enough for a student who clearly struggles at English. I'm at GCSE level, by the way.

Some girls freaked out when I said that the release of the Twilight movie and Breaking Dawn was not on par with Barack Obama being elected president. Are you REALLY that stupid to flip on me when I criticize comparing some crappy book to the first black president being elected?

It's written as poorly as a crappy fanfic. Yet it's a multi-goddamn-million franchise. Some cow decides to write a "book" about her fantasies (apparently about screwing a metrosexual). How about this?

Could someone who likes this abomination explain the appeal of Twilight to me?

Well there's your problem. By getting an A in one half you've led them to believe you should be able to get the same grade on the other half. Be more consistent. I bet if you'd gotten a C on both parts you wouldn'tve got in trouble.

The new series of Skins is terrible. Really horrible stuff. It can't be the same writers as the first series?

I enjoyed the first series and the second series went downhill a bit but was still watchable if a bit unrealistic (ie. people dieing/moving to New York).

Now this latest series seems to have thrown everything out the window and just gone with slapstick humour and terrible stereotypes as characters. To add insult to injury they've cast Ardal O'Hanlon in this disgrace of a TV series. Any credit he had left after Father Ted is now gone.
