Now, I know I posted in the "death of english grammar thread" that it was a good thing to get rid of the apostrophe.
But for god's sake. My COLLEGE TEACHER had to teach HER STUDENTS IN HER CLASS what the use of the apostrophe for a possessive as opposed to a plural was for. AND THERE WERE PEOPLE WHO HONESTLY NEVER KNEW ABOUT IT.![[pissed]](/images/smilies/pissed.gif "Pissed [pissed]")
And she said that she never knew about it until two years ago. And she's from Michigan.
I think downtown's right - I don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan.

Any time I've been banned, my avatar never disappeared.
I'm fairly sure that most of the time, it's just the sig that disappears.
If it is an automatic point-accumulation ban, your sig disappears. If you are banned manually, your avatar disappears as well.
