Random Rants

It's ridiculous to come into this thread and read all the whiny little students moaning about all the work they have to do. What were you expecting when you signed up? Nobody forced you to go to college, nobody forced you to register for classes that assigned lots of work, and nobody forces you to do the work once it's been assigned! Whining won't get it done, posting on CFC won't get it done, and the longer you wait, the more you whine about it. It's pathetic.

You people make me sick. I have work too, but I do it. I don't moan about it; I knew what was going to happen when I showed up to this school. They would assign a great amount of work, and I would learn how to be an engineer. If I wanted to be a bum on the street leeching off society, I could have done that. I could have dropped out of school and sat around all day waiting for a handout. I could have stopped caring once I got here and skipped class all the time and failed a few classes. But you know what? It's worth it to me to do the work so that I can turn it in on time. It's worth it to me to graduate from a damn good school so that I can make six figures years from now. It will be worth it to me when I'm working at a job that gets every other Friday off and driving around in a car that turns heads when it drives by. It will be worth it to me when I can afford to send my kids to any schools they want to go to.

If it's not worth it to you, that's fine, but don't sit around whining about it. If it's not worth it to you, just give up now and promise not to regret it later on.

But if you want to do this, if you want to graduate, if you want to learn a skill, if you want to do anything that requires work so that you can better yourself, your family, your country, and the world in general, stop your pathetic adolescent whining, grow up, and get to work.

And while you're at it, learn how to rant. You're an embarrassment to this thread and yourselves.

Sorry, but my education is compulsary at the minute.

You know what I hate?

Grumpy people

Alright, so how hard is it to do your job? Apparently quite hard, harder than the ragtag group of high school losers and morons I call employees can handle.

I mean, Jesus Christ, it's very simple to work in a resturaunt, that's why it doesn't require a degree. If you're waiting tables, you just greet your table, talk politely, make sure the order you're ringing in and the order they want are the same thing (reading the ticket back will acomplish this nicely), and then promptly ring it in RIGHT. If you're the host/hostess, you don't seat my entire resturaunt when they've all just got up and left, because that crashes me kitchen.

I was kitchen manager tonight, and this is exactly what happened. Infreakinsane is the only word I have for it. Servers ringing food in wrong, cooks delivering food wrong, and server reaching into my window to touch food and talk to my cooks. It's not a hard concept to grasp, people. You don't talk to cooks, you don't touch food not on the table, you talk to your expo, and he gets it from the cooks. This is a task that trained chimpanzees can do, but you, my ignorant ra-ra server whores cannot? What, do Laguna Beach and The Scissor Sisters rot away your mind's ability to comprehend simple tasks? This isn't even a task, it's a lack of a task. I'm not asking you to do something, I'm telling you to NOT do something. It's so simple, because you don't even have to DO anything! I mean, really, people, you don't need to understand quantum mechanics or know the capital of Turkmenistan (which is Ashgabat, BTW :smug:), you don't even need simple motor skills, just simple reasoning skills. It's like touching a hot stove, or chugging an entire bottle of Henessey, the logic is simple (don't do it).

Now getting plates, or filling up the ice bin, that might require a bit of education on your part, but I'm betting that, at some point in your life, between your parents babying you and your boyfriend paying for dinner every night that you've actually had to do something for yourself, had to actually lift something somewhere, or to move with some sense of urgency. As a side note, that is a great song by Foreigner (Urgent).

In conclusion, I'd just like to say that I ain't no holla back girl, Say You Will, Say You Won't, make up your mind tonight, There are three lights! I sing the body electric, Mike broke the Hubble, if a tree falls in the forest, does anyone hear it? my milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard, boys to the yard, boys to the yard, sweeeeeeeeet emoooooootion, she sells sea shells by the seashore, Free your mind, your ass will follow,we are so lost: where the hell is Innsbruck, Austria? she works hard for the money so you better treat her right, it's 2:47 AM, do you know where your children are? i think it's fly when girls stop by for the summer, I don't want none unless you got buns hon, know what I mean, verne? Mike please stop looking at me sexually at work I told you we don't do that there, White Rook to B-4 A-75, these pants make my ass look fantabulous, a blue 1994 Civic with it's lights on in the parking lot, come on baby light my fire, 86 turkey sub $chocolate, wika wika wika.

Thanks, folks, I'll be here all week.

*bows*

Aaugh.

There is a false rumor about me going around that I like a mildly mentally challenged girl. It is completely false, and 1/8 of my grade knows. My neighbor got a hold of it and told my other neighbor. So now, it is spreading like wildfire and I am trying to clear my name. Worst part, at the lunch table that I sat at, only one kid stuck up for me.

I say, "I don't like her, it's all reversed. She likes me."

They hear, "She likes me back."

So, my friend and I keep telling this to people, a few kids hear what I say, and now some kid is planning to ask her out for me. I tell him, he listens. One kid actually asks her out for me. She said that she would, and then I said that he thought of it. I told her that I didn't like her and that we could be friends, and she was fine. So now, the girl that everyone thinks I like believes me, and now, she is on my side. Here is the proportions of the grades:

1/8: Believes the two that started the rumor.

5/8: Has never heard of the rumor.

1/4: Doesn't believe the two that started the rumor.

Worst part, they had no grudges against me. I had no grudges against them. So, effectively, they betrayed me.

Ahh high school, fond memories.

There's really only one answer to this "betrayal," as you call it.

Do something similar to him. Pull a prank on him. That's how the game is played.

Yes.

Most of my school is homophobic.

So I will use that to my advantage.

Since the two are always together.

You can guess the false rumor. More damaging than the one that they are spreading about me.

Ok, so I was supposed to play a show in Oxford Ohio tonight. I was pretty excited, because we were headlining, and even though its almost 2.5 hours away, it was the most perk-laden contract we've ever had. Somebody was paying for our transportation, hotels, food...I was excited.

We're on our way driving there...and the manager calls from his cell.

The freaking bar had a fire last night. No power, and the kitchen was damaged too, so they just werent going to open anyways.

Noooooooooo! I've had shows canceled because of storming, flooding, and a power outage...but Fire? Thats a new one.

All of that's fine, but it puts a dent in this here thread, which is for random ranting.

My education is obligatory. If I wasn't in school, I'd be illegal.

My rant for today is rather short: I hate people that always ask for help. And then when you try to help them, they always insist on doing things their way. Well, didn't their way get them to where they are now in the first place?!

Me and Perfection divorced. :(

I wanna rant about SNIFFERS. BLOW YOUR GODDAMN NOSE!!!!!!!!!
went to a concert (classical dont ya know, my friend was playing) and someone behind just sniffed and sniffed constantly. rage.

I know what you mean. Being a classical guitarist myself, I hate when people are always coughing and sniffing in the audience. If they are so sick, why did they come to the concert in the first place?! :wallbash:

We even have a joke here, but I think a lot of its humour is lost, in translation:
Q: Why don't people that cough go to a doctor?
A: They are too busy: they are always at concerts, theaters...
