Today, we had two guest speakers who graduated from Harvard talk to us about....

You should. Could I make this stuff up? One studied anthropology and political science, but seemed to be an expert on whether masturbation was healthy or not. The other was pre-med.

Masturbation is healthy because it reduces the chance of getting colon problems. (not specifically masturbation, just ejaculating at least 7 times a week). I heard this because one of my friends doctors told him.

Dunno if this goes in Random Rants/Raves, so I'll post it here because it was so hilarious.
While playing Team Fortress 2, some player joined as a medic. Then, he used voice chat. The horror of his voice...
It was a four year old. (Someone asked this and he confirmed)
Best part? He couldn't read. And I didn't have voice chat.
Then he began yelling "Where is everybody?" x5000 for 10 minutes. Then he began to ask how to uber like x30. After we told him, he ubered a sniper, and then asked where everybody was...
While everybody was yelling shut up, and we must support abortion, another player joined.
His name was: Insane Molester Panda.
He began laughing like a little girl, kind of like how people imagine Michael Jackson. Then he heard the little boy, and began doing this insane molester laugh that might've come out of a pr0n movie. (Which I don't watch BTW)
The little boy got completely scared and began to say: Where's mommy?
Then the Panda said: I love lil' boys. Feelin' Sixeh?
AHHHHH!!!
At this point, I began laughing like mad.

They were two former Harvard students. Sorry, I didn't take down their names, but they were featured in a NYT article in the summer. No one took them seriously, we spent today debating on our teacher on why they were bad speakers, not only for their content, but also how they showed it to us.

Oglethorpe University
They picked 250 of their best and brighest applicants and brought them all to the university for a "scholarship weekend". Those of us further than a state away got free first class flights via AirTran (apparently an AirTran big wig is one of the university trustees). We spent the weekend doing the usual campus tours, student panels, etc. We were also there to compete for scholarships though, so we had personal interviews, group seminars on specific topics, and wrote essays.
Five students were to receive full tuition for four years, plus money for a semester of study abroad, participation in university honors, and a research stipend their junior year for the preparation of an honors thesis.
I was one of the five.
That's pretty good. I applied to Oglethorpe once upon a year and it is expensive. Though perhaps not that much more so than any private college.
