A really big storm came through about 30 minutes ago. It was pretty cool. Complete with heaps of lighting, sheets of very heavy, and big, rain, and some hail. Some got through under my closed window, but didn't rise up enough to spill over onto my bed. Again, it was pretty cool.

Jyväskylän palloilijat is finally the Finnish ice hockey champion! The little team that sucked for years and years and I was obliged to support due to my family roots in Jyväskylä. Now I can metaphorically punch all my friends who are fans of these gay Helsinki teams.

10,000 Euro!?

Marry me. Yes to me, it's a lot. Do you have ANY idea how many M:tG cards you can buy for that amount of money???

Big deal, I make that much in an average week!

Sorry, lord joakim, I'm marrying this guy .

the 10k was a payment for an almost two month long job that took forever to get through the beaurocracy (the job was done many months ago).

Schadenfreude time!

Teacher: "Just tell me when you're bored already, so that I could give you board work."
Me: (drawn out, fake, and loudest *) "Hah hah haaah."
(while rest of class amounts to stifled laughs and giggles)
Teacher: "Who laughed? No, seriously, I'm really going to give you board work." (goes of to write on the board)
(later)
Teacher: "Please lang, wala namang bastusan." (roughly translates to: "a little respect please")

* The same manner other people laugh at my jokes when they want to inform me that it's corny and terrible. People here think its fashionable to not like wordplay...

I get the feeling that either she didn't get her own joke, or that she doesn't quip too corny jokes often enough to know that what I did was normal reaction, or that I just broke that unwritten rule that if your elders or superiors made a normally-bad joke, you should give proper laughs instead of sarcasm... and any of those cases makes me absolutely cheerful, I don't know why.

I just spent the last few hours doing something quite interesting.

My dad had found two boxes in my grandmother's attic, as it was being cleaned out. He brought the boxes down, and discovered that they were full of my great-grandfather (who was an exceptionally good pianist, or so I am told), and great-great-grandfather's piano sheet music. So, I've been going through it (one box tonight, there is a lot in each box. Mostly theatre music, and dance music, i.e. march & two-step), and it is really fascinating. The oldest piece of music was published in 1888, and there was another in 1894, with the rest fitting into the periods 1900-1910, and 1930-1940. There were a few other ones as well, such as a World War One nationalist piece (published in 1915, complete with colourful front page artwork of soldiers) entitled 'Battle of the Nations, March Descriptive' by E.T.Paull.

Long rave, but it is really interesting. And quite well preserved, for the most part.

The tide of religiousness I unleashed on CFC OT is waning...

I just found out that there is 6 more state quarters coming out! I'm such a nerd

Hey, I think the state quarter project was the only sound financial policy the federal government ever had.

I'm actually not reduced to a pathetic sack of crap every time I see my crush (Yes, I'm in love with her again) and her boyfriend. I'm actually enjoying it, to be honest.

Honestly, I really don't think the word "love" applies here. Infatuation, yes.

Two shots to the head. You ask me, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

I've actually got a crush on a cute scene kid just two years younger than me, and she adores me being romantic to her as well, so I think it'll work out great. :) I'm gonna see her this Saturday; tomorrow; and no, I can't wait... :) :) :) :) :) :)
