Rave: Cookies!

I'm currently on job search, and recently applied to quite some high profile institutions.
Today my boss told me that one of them asked for a recommendation letter. Yeeeaaahh :strength:
I read today that in Europe there is a severe shortage of tech trained and engineering trained candidates for thousands of open positions.

Rave/bit of a rant : I had a funny situation today (now that I think of it). My work colleague was ranting about the cold when we went outside for a cigarette. Soon enough I told her she doesn't actually "feel cold" but the difference of temperatures , she looked at me funny , I looked at her....one thing led to another and I told her about the 2nd law of thermodynamics ... I might have added that our universe is doomed there as well .... she ran away .... Should I feel guilty ?

THEY ARE DROPPING A NEW GANG STARR ALBUM WITH UNRELEASED MATERIAL GURU RECORDED BEFORE HE DIED
Gang Starr? Pffft! They couldn't come up with an original band name so they just hitched a ride on the coat-tails of dead-set legends, like:

Nice try, Adam!
But if she's really clever she already knows the difference between Physics and Propositional Calculus.

Rave: On AO3, I got a kudos on one of my old fics. :) I didn't know people still readed them.
Excellent!

There are stories on that site I've gone back to and read several times, especially some of the Borgias fanfic and the Alliance-Union stories based on C.J. Cherry's books. A few of them are so good, it's as though Cherryh herself could have written them.

About telling her how she felt? Yes. You don't live in other people's bodies, so you really don't know how they feel and it's presumptuous to 'splain it to them.

But it's never a bad thing in general to explain physics to people, particularly if you're good at explaining it while not making them feel stupid.

As for explaining the eventual death of the universe... that's just a really depressing topic. I once read an article about it in Astronomy magazine, and when I was done reading I just sat there and cried for the next 15-20 minutes (yes, really).

Don't forget to leave kudos!

Glad to see You "on guard" ;) We know each other for long and we both don't care for political correctness , 'splaining things and such. She laughed a lot too (before running away that is :D) . I was not trying to be rude or impolite or inconsiderate, I was not trying to 'splain things to her or be a smartass or anything. In truth we just had a lighthearted chat is all.

As for the physics and her implications it really is one of my favourite topics. ;)

That is allegedly true, but my field is rather niche, and I prefer to stay in academia. So very different.
(Although I could describe myself as data scientist [not a lie], and earn lots of money, but I'll rather keep it chilled)

I just wouldn't recommend doing it anymore :p

I think you need to practice your pickup lines.

Will do my Queen ;) Look I really didn't mean anything bad. It was :

-I feel cold
-Did You know we actually don't feel cold ?
-How so ?

Maybe I choose bad words describing our conversation, but I choose to drop the topic right now ;)

How did you get your keys out of your car?
The roadside assistance guy "broke in" to my car and got my purse out.

I was extremely embarrassed, my alarm even went off lol.

I'm just glad I was at home when it happened.
