First snow yesterday.

Feels like time to celebrate Samhain soon. Also have to stock more candles soon.

I was bribedasked to submit a review for a jigsaw puzzle I bought from Mary Maxim (craft company), in return for a 5% discount on my next order.

Apparently my review was acceptable, and now I have a discount code that's not worth a lot, but at least will cover the GST. Now if I can manage to use it during a flat-rate shipping sale while taking advantage of the standard "buy 3, get 1 free" deal for puzzles, that might be worth it.

The most incredible thing happened: A woman wrote to me on a dating site ! I have now used online dating on 4 separate occassions for roughly one year time, and I have used 5 different platforms, some multiple times, and I paid twice. In that time I have had... 4 conversations online, I think, and one rather boring date.
So...I don't know what happened there .
We already texted a bit, the profile does not seem to be fake, and she does not seem to be ugly/fat/stupid.
Am I in the matrix? Is this the end of days? I am confused!

Only if it's a kinky dungeon.

Only if it's a kinky dungeon.
I've never seen any other kind.

:shifty:

In other news, walking through the park on the way to work this morning, listening to Yo-Yo Ma play Bach. I wished I'd left the house earlier, so I could have taken a longer stroll.

The bike shop told me it would take all week to fix my bike but they had a bunch of cancellations and called me last night to tell me it was done. I'm going to pick it up as soon as they open this morning! So happy. :D

Sounds a bit like a Norsified version of All Saint's. In fact I know that was actually another way around. Catholics converted Samhain to their version. In Polish tradition for example (before Catholicism was a thing across Europe) Calling of spirits, various appeasement or other rituals and all kind of spooky goings were the norm. Care to tell a bit more about Baltic pre-catholic traditions You have had once ? ;)

I thought Samhain was celtic.

Samhain is celtic indeed.

As for Baltics - they had pagan rites in each of equinoxes(sp?) , but I know little about them since I'm from Japan. I celebrate Samhain due to a friend who introduced me to Wicca.

Rave: On AO3, I got a kudos on one of my old fics. :) I didn't know people still readed them.
