It's been 20 years since my cat, Lightning, died. She was 17.5, the longest-lived of all the cats I've had, and the middle generation of a 3-generation cat family I had.
Incorrect... a bald eagle riding a motorcycle needs no flags whatsoever... the image speaks for itself clearly as to what nation it represents. The flags are completely superfluous, redundant and unnecessary for an image/sculpture/monument such as this.View attachment 694556
It could have used a few more flags.
Happy (or whatever) Anniversary...It has been brought to my attention that I've been hanging out with you dorks for 10 years.

"Uprooting", as in yanking a plant out of the ground roots and all to be discarded.I am trying to come up with a metaphor. But I have not come up with a good one for "nothing the sun shines on matters."
Psalm 91
New International Version
Psalm 91
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
Do "unmoored" or "adrift" come anywhere close?Thank you. I wouldn't mind more to work with, if anyone else wants to take a swing, too.
Reminds me of Death's speech at the end of Hogfather, more or less the "moral" of the story and just an all around great set of quote(s).It certainly seems neutral to me. With the whole evolution of creatures by ripping each other up and eating them alive, death by draught, suffocation, being a mother bird watching your babies devoured, death itself, whatever got us this far (evolution most likely but if you think a divine DJ started the record spinning so be it) is inferior in benevolence to what humans are ideally capable of.
I like the quote that is the top comment alsoReminds me of Death's speech at the end of Hogfather, more or less the "moral" of the story and just an all around great set of quote(s).
They have part of the feel right. I like that the light would hit both from from above, and reflecting up from the water.Do "unmoored" or "adrift" come anywhere close?
I'm sure Berzerker is on it!I love the Tartarian community. They'll dig up some obscure map drawn by some rando on acid and accept it as the truth and weave an elaborate conspiracy theory to explain why no-one else buys it
