Thanks Ozbenno, and while I know there are a few way could have improved the last 1000 years of play, I think we should just go with the 575AD save ;).

I played 15- Rounded out the years too. Nothing much happening. We have a very high happy and health cap so lets push population. The problem there is that we don't have much production so whipping is pretty good. So the report is so terse, but I was in a hurry.

Hmm...I'm not too sold on the Scientists but I haven't really run any numbers so it could be the right move. We end up helping our enemies more than ourselves is my guess, since we are now gifting them away (thanks whoever suggested that :crazyeye: ). I think the key is more land, I'm sure with Qwack and ThERat up I'll inherit some war or another :lol:

What a nice bunch of neighbours you have there! Only missing Genghis for the full house of nutcases.
You are not kidding- Izzy, Shaka, Stalin, Alex, Monty, it is quite an aggressive group

Might be worth it to gift our GP's to a civ we are about to attack. This way they can build us something nice, and we can take it :).

And yeah, the neighbors are quite something, I wouldnt be surprised to find Genghis as the final AI.
 
I don't remember Alexander being in RB22-Huayna Capac the Despot.

Turns played. Although I couldnt declare war because not enough units during my 10 turns, I have set up the table for TheRat. :cool: We should have enough units in about 2 turns to declare.

First thing I noticed when I got my turns were that none of our cities have been whipped over the past 15 turns. :mad: :mad: Guys, let me remind you that we are no longer playing the no civics variant :lol:

Grassland tile instead of mine? :lol: :lol: Seriously let me see that weed. I also opened borders with monty on turn 2. I didnt notice for my first 5 turns that we didnt have a lighthouse in capital, and though we were working 2/2 coast tiles, once I noticed, the whip was cracked :whipped: . Absolutely worthless working those tiles...



I also noticed we have been building way too many roads when we have alot of resources and tiles to be improved. Our road network is good enough for now, I would suggest concentrating on improving tiles, and try to keep workers stacked in 2's or 3's instead of each working individually.

Shaka founds a city at a bit better spot than the past 2 times.



Also WTH is this? Anyone else having this bug?



So on my final turn, I have a slight feeling Shaka might declare next turn, so I have repositioned our troops to annihiliate his tiny stacks. He also has a few 2-unit stacks moving towards his northern city, which I would suggest picking off before they reach the city, especially since we should be declaring war in 1 or 2 turns.



Demanded Shaka's 90 gold which he gave to us.

Sorry, about that, I just wanted that city to grow, however for the life of me I can't figure out why right now.

Yes I have that bug, just noticed it yesterday. However those graphs don't work intuitively so I often only really bother with the Power graph.
 
I have that bug with the food graph too.

Can somebody tell me your tech path? It seems odd, as I would just research Archery right now for crossbowmen.
 
Okay, let's see what there is to see. We have massive whip unhappiness (>30) in cities working unimproved tiles and no whip unhappiness in cities working improved tiles, so there won't be much whipping in my turn :lol:. We have a Settler asleep which I send to grab that spot in our NW corner (one over from the sign, it seemed a better spot). We have a fortified GG which I send to our HE city and settle as a MI. Speaking of Edirne, it is way under the happy cap. I switch five low food tiles to grassland farms, 10 turns from now we will have grown three pop and can switch several back. Checking the tech situation things seem good. I make these trades at some point during my turnset:

That one with Izzy was to get more map info, mostly. On the war front, thanks for the heads up on those Galleys, they had 6 melee troops in them but I had routed three Maceman up there and we only lost a hamlet. Also, thanks for putting so many crack troops in good position. Shaka is officilaly dead:

All the killing spawned another GG, which I used to build a MA in our soon to be HE city. Liberalism is due in 3 or 4 turns...only HC is close (he has Philosophy and got Education in the middle of my turnset.). If he pops up with another expensive tech we can try to reserach Gunpowder and take Chemistry. It is also possible we could trade for Gunpowder, but I doubt it. It is most likely we will need to go for Nationhood once the it comes in. This is not too bad, a GE was born in Istanbul and we can pop the Taj. Might be a waste since we now have Marble from Shaka. Actually that GE might pop Gunpowder for us, or part of Chemistry. I recall Ozbenno doing that with a GE I left him in our Immortal no civics game.

Diplomatically I looked for every opportunity to get HC, Stalin, or Izzy to fight one another but could never do it. Izzy is Friendly with us by a long shot and I don't suggest we attack her next even though she is our most logical target. I would go for Stalin AND bribe her to close borders with him if possible. There are many other options but that one seems the best. BTW, I'm not saying Izzy won't die this game, just mabye not next :devil:.

Guys, Alex has a 7 unit stack right on our southern border. He might be up to something, I would suggest repositioning our troops next turn to hopefully defend off against that stack if he declared.

I think we should take Nationalism with liberalism, and research gunpowder to draft jannisaries. That is quite a good UU and we should make full use of it.

Also I agree with Darrel in terms of not declaring on Isabella. Just seems a waste since we have developed her into a ally. She is willing to declare war on stalin, and we could probably bribe her to do that once we declare ourselves.

I suggest not to do this, too risky for my liking :p. Also are you forgetting something Darrel? We are supposed to be gifting away our GP's :mischief: . Ozbenno can decide who to gift it to, I would suggest either Izzy (Our friend), Stalin (Our next victim most likely) or Monty (Weak)
