Actually, it gives enemies 100% more WW. More for denial if we do build it. AP is a no. Maybe for denial. Colossus is meh. TGL sure. Sankore is maybe.

I'm intrigued why is the denial of the Statue of Zeus more important then the denial of the Aposalistic Palace? They can both be annoying to be on the recieving end and are useful if you have them yourself.

Colossus is cheap so it pleases some people but it is indeed meh as we are not financial. Sankore is more useful when combined with the other religious wonders like the Spiral minerette, the AP and the Sistine Chapel

Lets discuss wonders when we get peace shall we?

Well, the SoZ has some use, but with the small amount of Christians in this world, its use is small at best. The hammers might be useful, but for 550, nah.

Sankore maybe.

Well, seeing as RAMESES has Literature, we should prioritize TGL. Sure it expires soon but it's a great wonder while it lasts and totally worth the investment.

Markets should be only built in developed cities.

Rameses has literature. He might be building TGL right now as we speak!

When the old Dragon leaves, so much his Hand. When the old Dragon comes once more, the Hand must be ready.

Winter is coming.

(I left the chatroom cause I got banned for 10 minutes. Will be back eventually.)

Lets build them now!!!!!

We have already decided to wait until we have peace. Me, Cull, and ravus have already agreed on this. Ilduce please stop with this wonder spam now business. We have agreed to build them in peace. Thats all you will get. We need the units. Please stop. Your wonder spamming style of play is getting very annoying the way you keep asserting it. It is abvious not many other people follow this, and i think we are mostly in agreement that we will wait till peace to build any. Plus, Ravus have shown us it would be a waste of hammers until we get beuar and OR in place with a forge.

Actually it might not. First we need to see how far along are we on CS, and how long a forge will take. Not to mention the turns of anarchy. In fact, it might save time if we started building now...

We won't go building wonders while more mundane things need attending. While our men need a banner to fall under, while our lands are barren and war struck in Gaul, you wish to build wonders? We shall build, but these wonders shall serves us, not us them. We shall build them to help us, not to build so that we may gasp like fools.

taking the last beaker count at 80 per turn and Civil Service costing 1120. We would need 15 turns to research Civil service. A forge costs 120 :hammers: so could be built or whipped quickly at the last second.

Cull the Great Spy can supply us with a golden age to support these changes and i'm not sure but i believe he has some say over how his character is used.

It is actually quicker to wait to start the wonders. If we started now we'd miss out on the forge. Even if we did the forge its only 25%. That means we'd be building at 25% for 15 turns before getting to a 100% bonus. So that would only knock around 4 turns of the end product for 15 turns of labour as most of the work would be done once we get to 100% build rate. I would prefer 4-5 extra troops then building the wonder only 4-5 turns quicker Especially as after getting those troops we can start shifting the economy in england to a peace setting

Ilduce you are doing that thing again where you wish for constant advancement in a certain area when it is actually more efficiant to do something else first. Constant advancement does not equal "better"

Ravus you are wrong on some things there.

We are near the end of researching CS if i remember correctly. I know we have at least started it.

Cull has no say over this. I am highly against using him for a golden age. He would be MUCH more useful to bomb russia, or even continue as our invincible scout for the game, at least until we NEED something more than that. He can explore asia for us, and especially russia and egypt so we can see what they got.

I support the rest. the anarchy wont be that long. In warlords you cant change more than one civic at a time, but in BTS i think it would take 2 turns of anarchy to get OR and beaur in, although i am against OR. Its not that big, and theocracy would be better in my opinion.

Cull as acting president, and when he steps down Minister of Finance, only bested by the VP and President, does have say over it.

While you are president, yes you choose what to do with it. But otherwise the president still has full control over the unit. We have already gone over this. The only way people would have control over there great people would be if the president gave them it, and he could still technically override them.

As third in succession, I do hold some minor sway even if I was a bumbling idiot. As I assume I am not, I hold more than minor sway over what the GSpy does.

Yes, you have 'sway'. But if the president disagrees with you, your opinion wont go anywhere. Prez has the final say. Period.

Alright, my computer's fixed and I've finally been able to read the last few days posts.

On Ravus's summary:

Looks really nice. This seems to sum up the major points pretty well.

On LH's narrative:

Nice work! I'll be looking forward to reading the rest of them tomorrow. Though, I am a bit worried about this Century Legion.

On the wonder debate:

I agree that we should wait until after the war to start construction of any wonder. I might have been more lenient if our victory was assured, but right now it seems that we still have a long ways to go.

As to which wonders should be built, I'm not really sure. While our religion hasn't spread far enough to harness the full power of the Apostolic Palace, building it will deny our enemies its use against us. The question that remains is, how likely is it that our enemies will use it against us?

Also, I forgot what the Great Library does again. Can someone enlighten me on this?

Now, it is time to go to sleep.
