So I'll wait to see if most people agree to the Take Germany, Italy Later (TGIL) plan I proposed. If the next Prez is one that supports taking Italy, then I think TGIL is a great plan. If the next Prez does not support taking Italy, it's an OK plan.

Yes, This thread has gotten too spammy for me.
Wait a minute guys. There is a simple solution to saving the economy (temporarily). Just move the capital to RY (or Antium) after the war's over. It saves us 13 gold on colony maintenance, so we won't have to run 20% all the time! Then we cottage the land we captured.
And Cull-I play BtS all the time, around this difficulty level, and I've seen ais vassalize to ais ALL the time. So don't think it won't happen.

NO. MN that plan is complete crap in my opinion. Not to mention germany doesnt seal off rome from the rest of the empire, russia might end up vassalizing rome, or even the other way around.
Aysee we already have discussed moving the capital. From my perspective, unless we get REALLY desparate (40% tech rate during peacetime or lower) then the capital will not be moved. This is not the only way of fixing the economy, and if it does happen, i would rather it happen (and be discussed) once we achieve peace.

While I agree about the capitol, I remind you that the percentage of tech is not important it is the amount of beakers produced.

The percentage of tech determines how much commerce are turned into beakers. To my knowledge, we dont have any beakers from a purely beaker source, such as specialists.

From the pics, it looks like Mach will take 9 turns, meaning that Feud will also take 9 turns. We could switch immediately to Feud, leading to us taking Neo, taking Cumae, thereby splitting the empire. We would then attempt to get the Romans to vassal to us in return for peace. IDK if the Romans are willing to go this far, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

MN cumae and neapolis will not split the roman empire!!!!!!!!!!! medialanum would though, and if you take that, then it only makes sense to continue into italy.
Cull part of being leader is taking the apparently enormous risk of making decisions. but doing nothing has consequences too. Now your brief stint of filling in as president due to the line of succession will leave you legacy of doing nothing and letting this thread descend into spamminess off and on for weeks. I would rather screw up and have the legacy of doing something wrong, then just sitting there, refusing to do anything until you get your pics like a child, until someone with more authority then you comes back so they can take the blame for anything that goes wrong. because if you did it and screwed up, then i would personally make sure you were blamed, not whosit or MN.
Mach will take 4 turns by the way. Maybe 5 or 6 should we have to scale back to preventthe entire loss of the treasury. Feud will probably (from a guess from me based on how much gold we lose at 100% and how much we get at 0% plus using the cost of fued, 700 beakers) take bewteen 17-23 turns. This math was all using in my head using numbers i didnt check, so i may be wrong.
I dont think we should vassalize rome anyway. Germany would be a much better vassal. Thats why i said we should just take all of orme then give everything we cant afford to germany, therefore making germany better than what rome could have been.

For one, before you accuse me of being child, being the same age as me, MathNerd and Whosit were pretty adamant about pics before they left. So I was following their orders, something you appear to have little to no idea about!

Since nobody came ahead with a plan, I thought we may want to try this.
Our army takes Neo, Cumae, and Med, keeping them all since all options seem to agree on that. After that, we send our army back into our territory to heal for several turns. At this point, our brave Realpolitik reporter will report back to London about the current situation. (OOC: LH will give us an update, and probably some new issue to deal with) Armed with this new knowledge about how the war and the economy are going, we will make a decision on how we should continue from this juncture.
Now, I don't see how anybody can mind this, since we all agreed on taking Germany, right?

MN i do have a problem with this. A compromise bewteen i and 2 is not possible in my opinion, as 2 IS ALREADY A COMPROMISE. The plan was made as a compromise bewteen choice 1, and the abandoned plan of only taking italy. Now as i see it, the compromise was already tilted slightly in your favor as we would take germany first, and if something happened 9you know something will) we will likely peace out before italy is taken (considering your prez you know the chances of that, you will just make an excuse about the economy 'collapsing'). A further compromise, well that is just way too slanted in your favor.
not to mention that i dont support keeping med. I have already said we should give it to germany as it is more fitting to be a part of this balkan country, and it gives no specific benefit that we could make use of.
Also, before you say nobody comes up with a plan, you may want to check if anyone (you adressed it to me specifically) had been on since you posted the question. just a tip.
I suggest closing the vote now, since im sure mostly everyone will agree that it has been several hours since the original end date of 4:00, and this extra time has given plenty of time for whoever has wished to vote to vote. Apparently Ilduce will abstain. I support giving it until morning at the LATEST. But as it stands, choice 2 will win, and i expect you to honor this vote MN. You are the one that has started this whole thing about letting the people as a whole choose (a perverted direct democracy in my opinion).
