I agree with arya. Open borders does produce a bonus in relations, and I'm pretty sure that cancelling them will tick-off of neighbors (which is something we cannot afford to do).

I do wonder why people would plot AR. If the majority is in agreement, then wouldn't it be better to just call for a reelection if things go badly?

Also, you still need to declare a foreign minister and a military minister, ilduce.

Yeah, you can decline, but only if you want an AR instead. If enough people support AR, it will happen.

CULL ISNT IN YOUR COALITION.

Resign. Now.

Ravus PLEASE call a vote of no confidence. Please. We are BEGGING YOU!

CULL QUIT YOUR COALITION BECAUSE YOU BECAME PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!! DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO BE YOUR MILITARY ADVISOR????????

This is what I meant by #1 and #2.

I actually was about to give in, I stated that in my last pm. but he gave in first.

If you said that, I didn't see it.

Anyway, here's the whole deal on Open Borders.

1) They grant foreign trade routes, which are more profitable than domestic routes.

2) Over time, the civs you have OB with will like you a little more (+1 or +2).

3) Simply canceling OB removes that bonus, but incurs no penalty.

4) If you have OB with civ A, who is the Worst Enemy of civ B, civ B may demand you close OB with A. If you refuse, -1 w/ civ B. If you agree, usually no bonus with civ B, but large penalty with civ A.

Therefore, it is usually smart not to OB with civs that lots of others hate. Similar with resource trades. Knowing who is whose Worst Enemy is key.

If you said that, I didn't see it.
I said give me a reason to trust you, blah blah blah blah. If you can, then I will support you for being president.

As I technically haven't done a turnset, you can still follow up on that offer and I will happily resign

edit: X-post WIM and Whosit already agreed (I think). But that does bring a good question.

It's too late. We asked LH about it, and you can't just drop out in favor of another candidate.

And honestly, if I were you, I would stay in. If you leave, you will forever be remembered as the "Prez that claimed he would save England, then gave in under pressure".

If you resign, your Vice President becomes President. If your whole coalition resigns, Leader of the Opposition becomes President.

EDIT: MN, stop encouraging him!

Y'know, it probably wouldn't literally kill us if we let him come up with a plan draft at least. Though if it does literally kill someone, I will laugh.

Very, very, very, very, OOC: I kinda think having somebody everybody hates as our leader would make the game a whole lot more fun.

EDIT, X-Post: Well, this is RP, and it is being GMed by LH...

I have an idea...a very very bad one. Time to ask LH.
