Ahh . . . .

I'll be right back . . . .

What did we need again?

- Lighthearter

We need a lot. At least, I want a lot. :)

*Overviews of our territory + Rome's.
*City screens for each city we still control.
*Rome's army, preferably seeing the promotions on their units.
*Financial screen.
*Power graph screen, if we can see Rome's graphs.
*GNP, Food, and Production graphs, too.

And let us know if any other civ we know is willing to fight Rome.

Or somebody else could've done it, knowing all fingers would point to Ayra since he would have seemingly. After all, if Ayra is found responsible or even thought to be responsible, then there's little chance his coalition could survive the public outcry and massive Opposition Power that would be gained.

This kind of speculation reeks of accusing the absent! Are we godless heathens or do we act under the ordinance of the divine law? Allow the man a defense if he is accused of heinous treachery!

You do have a good point. However, the only flaw I see there is that somebody may have expected that logic to come up, and therefore expected the blame to be laid on the opposition.

The man in question has also not come to his defense, and he is logged into the forums right now. Not sure why he hasn't posted anything, since he's usually pretty active here when he's on.

I had something else to say, but I've forgotten it.

Edit: Oh, yeah, Ravus compared this to a game of Mafia. Yeah.

We're not going to get to the bottom of this without an investigation (or unless the culprit admits to it), so I suppose throwing accusations around right now isn't really helping matters.

All I can say is that, if Aegis wins the election, one of our many first priorities will be to track down the criminal by funding an investigation to be lead by Special Agent Lighthearter. And, as I mentioned, I'll personally fund the investigation if the state lacks the funds (which I imagine it lacks).

Except I was defending him.

Also, England is not a Christian nation.

Meaning continuing on the line of motivation is flawed.

Umm, one of the guys responsible is in your party. :p

I know this, but I believe the responsible to be in previous governments. There is no excuse for leaving a frontline settlement unguarded. Better to concentrate forces in Kent than in Norwich-Cull or Birmingham!

An iquiry is required and rectification is necessary immediately!

Yes, previous governments are also responsible.

We are the cradle of Christianity and as such, we have a solemn oath to evangelize the world...by force if necessary. The sad state of our military is attributable to those who neglect divine ordinance.

Which includes a member of your party and the previous Administration. I won't go back further than that because Christianity wasn't around back then.

Wait, so you know who it is?

Dark days, before the light of Christ. Fortunately, for those individuals, God is forgiving. In the here and now, however, work needs to cease on granaries and archers whipped into shape. The gaps to Iberia should be defended at all costs. York can be abandoned for the time being. Sometimes, one lamb must be sacrificed to save the greater flock.

Jesus Christ people. i log off for a couple of hours, im trying to catch up, and im being accused of sabotage during my own term. Ill explain how i cant be the culprit in a second, and who i expect. Let me read the goddamn thread please.

The bolded bit might be a bit much for poor lighthearter. But i agree we need some more stuff to go on.

On the Sabotage
So ANYONE could have done it? Well that wonderfully opens up a nice barrel of fun. Don't doubt yourself Mathnerd, you're allready asking the main questions needed for detective work. Mainly "who profits?"

So Lighthearter, as the holder of the true and just newspaper of the realm... how much are we talking about in cost for this Reporter inquiry? 10 gold? 50? 100?

-

And we may not be a Christian nation but we are a Stonehenge nation. And to quote the holy book (i wrote it apparantly so i can darn well quote it.)

Law 34#

While actions taken in self interest are allowed, anything that does so at the expense of our English nation shall be seen as sinful.

of course it also has strange laws like;

Law 1#
Don't die.
Law 2#
Don't nail Ravus to a cross

And ruthless laws like;

Law 5#
So much depends on reputation - guard it with your life
Law 6#
There is no such thing as overkill, only FIRE! and RELOAD! - Crush your enemy totally

-

Law 35#

Master the art of timing

-

EDIT: It's allright Arya, i'm apparantly a suspect too.

Wait, so you know who it is?

No, I don't know who it is! I was just saying that I thought arya was on the forums and that he hadn't posted anything yet. But he's here now, and it's clear he's just been trying to catch up. If I didn't have as much time to waste on a weekend, I'd probably be lost, too.

Anyway, this may be the most chaotic election yet!

The population of most Iberian cities are too low to whip out a sizable force.

And I'm glad we're on the same page about York.

Birmingham and Norwich-cull appear populous enough for the whip, and combined with the two or three other archers in the immediate area, would form a considerable defense. Also, do not forget York's defenders. It may not win, but it gives us a chance at suitable delay!

Well, we can't be so sure about Arya not being the culprit. He may have just been waiting.

Alright, so, I'll look at the posts near LH's post revealing the Sabotage. Maybe I'll rule out some people.

Simple. No one will aid us against Caesar. And it is 68 turns until a new Prophet. Apparently the Books of Ravus are hard studies and you must master them all to receive enlightenment. And there are evidently a lot of them.

Actually, I don't see anything to worry about. LH made it sound like there was an army marching on France and from what I'm seeing, that's not close to the case. The only thing is worrisome is the fact that Rome's Army is twice as big as ours.
