@MN: Yes, but our coalitions are more successful, having produced two Presidents to your one.

EDIT: x-post with mechaerik: Yes, numbers generally win, except when the lesser numbers have better training. Even the examples cited were tactical (though not strategic) wins. So DON'T DIS NUMBERS, GUYS!

To quote an internet meme: "Zergling rush!! KEKEKE!!"

Over time, we will prevail. During times of hardship, we have received significant support (remember Revolutionaries?).

And the effects of those 2 presidents, in my opinion, were much better than anything the GPC produced, but PLEASE, lets not get into all that okay? It keeps coming back. Cant we just leave it alone and not point fingers for everything that has gone wrong?

On another note, i, as member of the Faith and Strength party, a non-member of Aegis, wish to nominate Aysee as your presidential candidate. I believe that he would make a great president.

I could have sworn that movement failed MN. Also, has WIM responded to what i sent you yet?

Oh, yeah.

First, it failed due to it conflicting with the rules, not because people didn't support it.

Second, yeah, WIM and I thought that your party was too militaristic. Srry!

Well, um, we ARE AT WAR. What do you expect? But without us you guys are screwed in the election.

I'm assuming my messenging is still not enabled, as I haven't had any notifications of messages. :(

Just sent you one. Check the notifications thingy in the top right.

Try to send a message to someone.

Thanks for the offer, Aysee, but I'll pass. I will join the Stonehenge Monks. :) Well, you know, until I get acquainted with the game and come up with a unique idea for a party.

Well elections are in motion, so you should vote for your party, and hold the second in reserve in case you form a coalition.

Notice that every single person who's voted for us has also voted for the Monks.

Wanna join GPC? (You'll need to check with Ravus) EDIT: To the Monks, of course.

@civplayah: well to each his own, I guess.

@MN: Yeah, I've been wondering about that. Why not vote for your fellow party?

Aysee, they are trying to get the monks on their side. but the downside to that is if the monks go somewher else, the GPC might as well have voted for the opponent. But why would they join the GPC otherwise?

Aysee why did you let the LMP join a coalition with Ilduce? He has shown open hostility to your party in the past...

Exactly. The move is a bit of a gamble, but seeing as those two parties are pratically intertwined at this point, it's less of a gamble, and if the Monks join, they'll win big.

Ravus-York was burning.

The Romans had begun by pounding the city with catapults firing flaming projectiles for almost an hour, then charging a wave of Praetorians into the open streets. Now the flames were thoroughly out of control, moving through city blocks with incredible rapidity. Athers hoped that they wouldn't wreck his traps.

1st Team raced through the city, filling gaps as they appeared, dealing death to any Praetorians or other Romans that came near them. Athers heard a distinct cry to "Fall back by squads! Fall back by-" that was interrupted by a gurgling scream. Athers knew without being told that the caller was dead.

The fight for the city itself was unraveling, just as both Athers and Whosit had predicted. Most English troops were back inside the Citadel, preparing the walls for the inevitable assault. However, many were out in the city still, fighting to hold the Romans back as long as they could. Athers was impressed by their bravery - more then he could express. However, the Romans weren't the Eagle's worry.

Or maybe they were. A Praetorian hurtled at Athers, swinging upward with his sword. Athers automatically blocked, then flipped the man over and ran him through on the ground. The Night Eagle was leading his own men for the Citadel, actually, and hoped to reach it as soon as possible - Masters and Team Two were hopefully trying to get back there from the other side of the city. However, Athers hadn't seen either Amanara or Red Feather. He began to feel hopeful - maybe they could pull this off without those two!

Then Sulla stepped out of the shadows in front of Athers. His entire convoy paused. Athers turned to Sergeant Potter. "Take them to the Citadel."

"Sir-"

"Now, Potter!"

"Yes, sir." Potter said, ill at ease with Athers' decision. As the rest of the Eagles withdrew, Athers stared at Sulla. The Roman general was dressed in shining silver armor and carried a large broadsword that Athers eyed carefully. A bastard sword like he carried could be wielded with either one hand or both, making it a versatile weapon. However, a broadsword was a weapon that possessed a lot more power behind it then a bastard sword could hope to match. It meant that Athers was at a power disadvantage, but could probably outmaneuver his foe with a faster blade.

"Amanara, I presume?" He asked.

"You are perceptive, Athers." Sulla/Amanara said, nodding slowly. "But you cannot win here. You or your nation, though I don't care about them. I care about killing you."

"You'll have to fight your way past Red Feather." Athers said guardedly.

Amanara laughed. "He is no object to someone of my power. You have interfered with the plans of Set, and you must be punished."

"I'm afraid I can't allow that." Athers said, raising his sword. Sulla/Amanara waved his/her hand and the weapon flew away.

"I'm afraid you have no choice." Amanara purred. "After I kill you, I will return to Egypt and take the throne in the name of Set. Then the world shall tremble!"

Athers took a step back as Sulla/Amanara twisted into Amanara's true form and a bead of red light formed on her right hand. "Good-bye, Athers."

"NO!" Red Feather burst from a nearby house and punched Amanara hard. She flew through the air - but landed lightly as a cat, her eyes blazing with anger. "I will kill puny man!" Feather roared.

Amanara shot a blast of lightning at the Sioux warrior, who jerked back slightly, then laughed and picked the Egyptian woman up. He hurled her into a stone building, which collapsed on top of her. Feather turned towards Athers, who had recovered his sword, and charged forward. Athers leaped over the giant man and landed behind him, lunging to slash him across the back of his knees. Red Feather roared and collapsed. But then he rolled back over and came back upright.

"You are nothing to me!" he bellowed, ripping a decorative tree from its roots and swinging it with his right hand. Athers dropped to the ground and felt the rush of air as it passed over him. He jumped back up and slipped his knife out of its sheath, tossing it at Red Feather's chest, where it buried itself up to the hilt.

Red Feather staggered back a step, the yanked the knife out and tossed it to the ground. "You are nothing!" he repeated, storming back in. Athers dove between his legs and rolled upright, retreating swiftly while still facing his adversary. An explosion shattered the house Amanara had been flung into and Athers knew she was free. She charged out, her hands covered in crackling blue lightning. She punched Red Feather in the face, sending him staggering with electricity crackling down his body. She then delivered a brutal backhanded blow that slammed Red Feather into a building, which collapsed on him.

Amanara whirled to face Athers and he felt a strange sense of deja vu.The Night Eagle slipped sideways to avoid a bolt of sizzling scarlet energy and lunged forward. Amanara dodged and Athers spun, nicking her on the thigh and the shoulder. She fell back a pace and raised her hand, lifting Athers into the air. Athers kicked her in the face as he was lifted, feeling her nose break. She dropped him, falling backward. Athers skittered away.

Red Feather burst out of the building and slammed a huge fist into Amanara as she lay on the ground. But when he looked up to find Athers, the Englishman was gone.

OOC: I gotta get off for a while now, but I'll be back later today!

Wow that was unexpected. Good writing all the same:goodjob:

Looks like the battle isn't going too well for us...

Nice writing, but becoming a bit too fantastic for me. Sounds like the city is going to burn (get razed) unless there's a twist ending.
