I honestly think you're a troll. Or at least seombody's on your account and trolling for you due to the whole building things that look good stuff.
You said something about 1800ish you don't finish the tech tree, and don't have 300+ gold at 100% science. My family calls that a Monarch/Emperor, play-to-win, no WBed AT ALL, culture win.

And in late game, when you have all the space race parts, building wealth in small cities, and in high cities building space parts, going over now-almost-useless towns for the late-game Caste System State Property workshop is very useful.

ATM, I think Pacifism isn't needed. We don't really have much of a specialist economy, so no, I don't support the in game Pacifism civic.

Thats not counting building wealth in cities. Have you done that on Monarch/Emperor, while spending the time to build all the useless wonders? I have (once on monarch)
He is a member of one of the 3 more pacifist parties, he should support it.

Nah, Workshops just kill population (with there -1 food on the plot) state property Sucks for being communist and Caste system sucks for the unhappiness it gives (+5
for we demand emancipation).Also why build wealth in cities? I build either buildings or research, you don't need wealth when you making 300+gpt on 100% science.

Usually, I would, since my party is pacifist, but in game, I don't think that the Pacifism civic is really that useful right now for us. Extra GP is awesome when we actually are running specialists.

Ilduce: I recognize that you have your own way of playing, and that you play Civ to have fun your own way. That's fine. However, you also have to realize that the rest of us do not agree with your play philosophy, so when we are deciding how to proceed in this game, we are not likely to support your methods.
Everyone else: Ilduce plays to have fun his own way. That is fine. As we're deciding what to do, we simply consider his ideas on their own merit. If we find that they will not assist us in our current situation, we will do something else.
Right now, we need to clearly identify the problems with our nation so that we can devise solutions that will actually work, rather than patch over the symptoms.

Cottages and specialists is all I run in cities in my games. So I guess pacifism is really useful. Also philosophical is my second favorite trait. Also Whosit wants us to start using specailists. I think pacifism is awsome and we need it.
Also you had a huge debate on the morality of slavery. Start using your RL morals to influence your civics in game again.

Pacifism is one of those civics that has situational usefulness. And arguing whether or not to adopt it now is pointless because we don't even have the requisite tech. I would argue strongly against adopting it, anyway, because we are going to have to field a substantial army just to defend ourselves from the technologically superior AI, as well as from LH's random events.
As for real-life morality... LH seemed to get a bit annoyed at that. And I'm not playing as a character who's as concerned with such things.

1. Are there any restrictions on my voting in the elections other than those posted on the front page? The reason I ask is because I thought I had seen a post somewhere restricting new players from jumping in and voting in the middle of an election.
2. Has the Unity Coalition been put into effect yet, or do the old ones still stand?

1. No. That rule was dismissed.
2. Unity Coalition has been put into effect. The NPP is part of it. We would like to propose MATHNERD or WHOSIT or RAVUS or WIM to president candidate for Unity.

1) There are no restrictions. New and swing voters often have a large impact on elections, as do lurkers.
2) I think so, not sure. The parties involved are engaged in negotiations I think though.

I can accept that. I do wish that Ravus, that old grizzled monk, over MathNerd, but as Ravus is usually reluctant to even get an offical government posistion, I support MathNerd.
