Unfortunatly i think we are only responsible for the first dip in power not the second.

It came from spotting russia had philosophy and extrapolating from there. I assumed russia was beelining it as some AI's do and trading the rest from the vikings.
Looks like as long as we replace the used catapults and build some new defensive units for antium to hold the line we can probably get through the clean up phase easily. Crossbow men should stop any pratorian advance. Especially with the defensive trait.

On Ilduce's gameplan
I don't get why you don't like Organised Religion.. i would have thought that was the best civic for a wonderbuild and missionary spamfest.
In RL i would probably not support pacifism. If i did it would probably be only for show, as in these times people like to pretend to be more civilised then everyone else while they backstab them. I also am amused that pacifism is a religious trait but ce'la vie.
We'd need a lot more tech advantage or political manouverability before i would support pacifism in a state our size. RL or not.
But on the pacifism idea, it links into my next point...
Set up - plan ahead
The reason we had trouble with the war was because we were not set up for one. Arya had to bat the romans away with one hand while building defensive units and barracks with the other. Set up is the key to a multiperson game like this.
For the Pacifism idea, it would need set up to gain its most use. Either via buildings to use specialists or the wonders for great people points. As Whosit has also said we don't have the prerequiste tech yet.
If you want to push the pacifism idea in the future then you just need to get in some of those set up plans for now. I would support one wonder in the capital. I think we can still get the Aposalistic palace. It would also make the temples and monsatiries Arya negotiated for more useful.
Getting the AP is my set up for getting all the religious trinity wonders to improve temples and gain us more diplomatic control.
On Presidential candidates
I support the MN as president and Whosit as the VP idea. I'm busy for the next month and both of them know what they are doing. They can hash out between them how they think the Unity administration should be laid out. Wether like the previous admin with governers, equal yet seperate, or MNs completly equal thing.

Welcome and congratulations on the choice to stay independent. Any thoughts on where you would like the civilization to go and what playstyle you support? Independents can still vote after all and i'm sure nobody wants to ignore your voice.
Oh and the rule you might have been thinking of in your earlier question is the fact that you can't go back and recast a vote. So be careful and patient in using both of them.

Ilduce: Would like a economic or interior position
WIM: ? (A governer position perhaps or technology minister?)
Ravus: Would like a unimportant position. Minister of Peace? i'll push the religious agenda's etc.
Sonereal/Sharpeye: ? (A Minister of war position perhaps or governer position)
I'd request that Civplayah, from the monks, gets a position if he wants it and is willing to speak up for it. Unless he's now going to use this moment to leap into action with a new party...

EDIT: Wait what? That LH picture used to be the power graph and now it's the tech trading scheme? whats going on?
meh. oh well the tech thing doesn't look brilliant but it's still salvagabe... interestly most nations now have feudalism... so Rome could capitulate any day now.
If we wanted we could trade feud of someone... no wait alll those techs are in the won't trade section. Damn we really are hated. We need to go forceably convert the germans and egyptians to christianity.

Okay, well i have an announcement: I will be much less active here. This game, Ilduce mostly, is just stressing me out, and i will be busy in RL during the day and exhausted at night for a few weeks. This week i am spending 9 hours on a footabll field every day, next week will be pretty normal, then training camp starts the next week and i will be having long days of 4+ hours of nonstop action on the fiel;d so i will be exhausted. Then when school starts in Sept, i wont be hom euntil late so i will be relativly less active thanm usual for months, for the most part anyway.
Ilduce i would love to tear into some of those latest comments, as some of them make very little sense, but it seems the discussion has moved on. Also, you WERE NOT ATTACKED, so that comment about defending yourself was wrong.
CAESAR! WHY DID YTOU VOTE FOR THE IMPERIALS??? We are not in a coalition with them. So it offers no benefit to us, and it seems that i am becoming increasingly opposed to them again like last election. Unity seems to be a failure in the making from my POV. Now you cant change that vote. Damnit.
Well, i may be inactive, but i will still be firmly opposed to most of the parties out here. I disagree on alot of issues with you guys. I really donmt feel like listing/explaining them right now, as i am beat from today, but i just do. I wont go on any sab spress like last time, but i will not discount it as an option. Since i still semi-respect whosit, i will 'listen' to him and state my opinions here, maybe offer a compromise or two. I do not expect you to follow what i ask for all the way, but i will push for that, and i ask that at least part of my posted policy (i will post it in the future) is implemented.

Caesar is a lurker for all intention, someone who isn't even aware of what's going on(see: Voting for Imperial). That would be like MathNerd saying since he has three lurkers who don't lurk at all pretty much anymore, when he was opposition against you he should have had AMAZING level of opposition.

Because somehow, Imperial went from some obscure militant extremist party to a simply right-leaning party with many moderate ideas. Besides, it was probably an honest mistake.
I vote Imperial and Cooperative.
I want to be either the Minister of Love, Minister of Plenty, Minister of Truth, or Minister of Peace.

Powergraph
The powergraph picture was up forawhile instead of the tech picture. It showed that we were actually equal with roman power. They just dropped a lot. I'm assuming they are loosing a lot of th eastern front as well so thats good news.
Opposition
Well the precident has been set by having two opposition teams previously. So i suppose technically you could do it. But it would limit the power you could have. Considering that Aysee seems to be quite neutral it would be telling if you couldn't even compromise with LMP on opposition issues.
Imperials
The Imperials are now a sort of a moderate military minded group. It's a shame as i loved the image of the Imperial empire ala' star wars with Cull and his apprentice playing the part of thesith Ninja-Pirates

I never change civics unless I am change 3-4 at a time. I hate anarchy. By the time I have Caste, Monarch and OR around, I would have built the swedegen Paya, and adopting Pacifism or Free makes more sense.
We still won the war.
We need AP and SP, two of the better wonders. If we start building them now we might get them both.
