If you were following the other CFC best album thread, then you would have seen my different idea. Now, here is a different topic, with a different format. Posters will choose their favourite three albums, and they will rate them in order.
A first place vote will give an album three points, a second place vote two points, etc. You can choose any album, and, after, I'll say one week, things will close up, and a victor will be declared. Please, make it clear who is first, second and third on your list.

1. Springsteen- Born to Run 3 Points
2. The Who- Who's Next 2 Points
3. Pink Floyd- The Wall 1 Point

Have fun!

1. The Human Equation (Ayreon)
2. Scenes from a Memory (Dream Theater)
3. In Absentia (Porcupine Tree)

A really tough call on three. I would put several Albums there if I could.

1. Edward the Great - Iron Maiden
2. Appetite for Destruction - Guns N' Roses
3. St. Anger - Metallica

Born to Run-Springsteen
Save my Soul- Big Bad voodoo Daddy
Oakland Strokes-Tower of Power

OK Computer
Dark Side of the Moon
*****es Brew (Female-Dog Brew)

If I could, I would add Machine Head by Deep Purple, and Are You Experienced.

1. Master of Puppets (Metallica) 3 points
2. Ænima (Tool) 2 points
3. Live aus Berlin (Rammstein) 1 point

1. Master of Puppets (Metallica) :D
2. British Steel (Judas Priest)
3. Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (Dream Theater)

Pah! A rival thread! You'll hear from my furniture-eating goons!

Not again! We went through this shortly being banned from SF!

And can I vote for Greatest Hits?

Eh, I don't think so, because any conglomeration of all the best songs of an artist gives it an unfair advantage over a single album. I think we'll stick with normal albums. Sounds good?

Thanks, and now, for the tabulating!

1. Master of Puppets() 8 Points
2. Appetite for Destruction 7 Points
3. Born to Run 6 Points
3. OK Computer 6 Points
4. Ænima 5 Points
5. Led Zeppelin IV 4 Points
5. Six degrees of Inner Turbulence 4 Points
...And there are a whack of albums with three points or less, but I'm too lazy to type them all out.

Can anyone think of a better way for me to be doing this, rather than all by hand? Anyway, Master of Puppets is in the lead, followed closely by Appetite for Destruction, which is only a point behind, and OK Computer, and Born to Run, which are two points behind.

The Wall- Pink Floyd
The Best of The Doors- The Doors
OK Computer- Radio Head

Powertrip - Monster Magnet
Danzig - Danzig (the first one yah know, Twist of Cain and all)
Reign in Blood - Slayer

Am I allowed to split my points evenly between three albums? (As in three second places each getting two points.)
I may note vote even so, but if I actually have to choose which one is best there is no chance at all.
And ED, you can probably make it easier using a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel. You can set it up so you only need to input the names of albums and how many times they got first place, how many times second, and how many times third, with the spreadsheet putting it all together and even making a list of the top albums.
