It looks like Steam corrected the mistake. Now it shows this. Available: February 13
This game will unlock in approximately 11 hours
That's midnight EST. I live in Texas so 11pm tonight for me.
As for internet prices here in the states, yes they are ridiculous, especially if the only thing available is satellite. I'm currently paying $155 for 50 GB a month with download speeds of 20-40 Mbps. Yes, satellite has data limits and it sucks. The 600+ ms pings are bad even for Civ 6 multiplayer.
For me the release is 7 am, which is just perfect. I'll just skip reading the news and start playing right after waking up.
Also, WTH is it with those crazy American connection prices? I get 10Mb/s for free, and a 100Mb/s connection for paying 10€/month extra. Even on my phone, 100Mb/s costs just 25€/month (and that includes 1200xSMS + 1200 min talking).

We finally had someone in and break the comcast monopoly around my parts . . . I ditched immediately and now have a a 150 megabits connection for $50/month. I could theory get a gigabit connection though the same people but I don't really see the point. I have like three devices so it's not like I'm running a server farm.

The waiting. The waiting. First it was weeks. Then it was days. Now it is mere hours. But WAIT!...I have to work tomorrow. Can't play until I get home at 3:30. Arrgh! Cue the 70's Heinz Ketchup comercial and Carly Simon's song "Anticipation":
Anticipation, anticipation
Is making me late
Is keeping me waiting.
Yeah, can be crazy. I live in Florida and my "cable bill" is $190 per month! Approximate breakdown is $10 for phone, $50 for TV, $50 for Internet (150 MB/s download, 25 MB/s upload), $40 for premium TV channels for the wife, and the rest is taxes and fees.
I'm in the EST time zone, so GS will unlock at midnight tonight for me. I'll be in bed then, but I plan on getting the ball started on the download when I wake up tomorrow. Is it enough to just open Steam before I leave for work, or do I have to click some kind of "Start Download" button somewhere? I completely forget the process from past expansions My goal is to be able to play as soon as I get home from work, without have to sit around watching the progress bar all evening.
I introduced my 5-year old daughter to Prison Architect for a laff (she'll get bored after 2 minutes I thought) and now she's obsessed. We're right now trying to work out how best to shoot our worst offenders dead out of hand before they get incapacitated and put in solitary. I may have erred.
