Played a game in multiplayer and <user name snipped> used some form of cheating. He had completed tradition, liberty, 1 policy in honor (in addition to the opener) and 4 policies in commerce (in addition to the opener), all while still in the Medieval Era. I was able to see his policies because you can view them in the 'Global Politics' screen under 'Diplomacy'. He got all 4 of his commerce policies in a single turn. Is there any way to report him or have him banned? I have a save file as evidence.

Moderator Action: User name snipped. We do not allow this sort of trolling shame thread.

Don't play with him? You know his screen name, just ban him if he comes, and don't join games he is in. It's that simple.

1. Civilization V does not use VAC.

2. You may NOT know a users true profile, it's very hard to pin down users by trying to get their Steam, since they may have different usernames or there may be so many of the same username.

3. Cheating in MultiPlayer is basically an honor system. There is nothing Fraxis can do about it.

4. You can only kick players if you're the host, there is no voting system to counter-act it.

5. You cannot block people to prevent players from getting in your game.

6. They can re-name themselves.

There is nothing we can do about cheating other than kicking the player or kick them in-game. Black-listing does not work in a poorly optimized MultiPlayer, it has been a flawed system since day 1.

If you can find him on steam there's a report button. Not sure if it accomplishes much though.
