Okay, I have a question. Does anyone know a good site with names of famous regiments, including cavalry?

I asked this in the General Discussion forum, and someone told me to ask here. :)

    1. Could you rephrase the question at all

    2. They should be, but if you alter any of the Art or Text files, then they will need to have them installed, IIRC, otherwise the game will crash!

    Question:
Does anyone know where to get somthing like this: I need a free program that allows pcx file editing. Preferably it should work exactly like paint did before it stopped supporting pcx files. I need to be able to easily increase canvas size so that I can combine many different images from different mods together into one image for my own mods. Or, alternativly, if anyone knows of a work done by any modder which combines many of the "art\cityscreen\buildings-large" and "buildings-small" files together so that there are a lot of images avalable, I could use that too.
    Thanks.

Quite a lot of people here use a program called GIMP.

Wally is more similar to paint than GIMP, but GIMP is good if you like PSP, :).

IMO, GIMP is perfect for doing any kind of pcx work. And if you shall edit the "buildings-large" and "buildings-small" files, GIMP is the right program to use. ;) I shall not say it is better than Wally, but I prefer GIMP.

Anyway, I didn't post here just to make people use GIMP.

I need city names for most of the petty kingdoms in Norway, and in Denmark, during the Viking Age. Maps are appreciated.

Hmm, this question seemed like it was sort of answered but I'm just confirming:
If I edit a Civ in my conquests.biq file, changing colours, names, and Civ strengths, will others I play with need that same BIQ file or will mine be used when I host a game?
Or will everyone use their own, so that colours don't matter, but things like Civ strengths put the game out of sync?

I'm pretty sure everyone has to have the mod and the biq, namely because of the custom graphics and rules, :).

If you edit the conquests.biq, the game will crash.

Not true. I'm using a modded conquests.biq file - I have the game running in the background right now (Just checking on subscribed threads every few turns;)). =P
odintheking - Thanks, that helps. I guess that means I really will be making this a mod. And then cracking a whip at everyone I know to get it.

My fault. I asked the same question for a long time ago, and then I got the answer that the game would crash.

So, are there anyone that knows about any maps of Norwegian and Danish petty kingdoms during the Viking Age?
