Babylon was gradually being restored. The army grew, the economy swelled, and the people we happy.
The jewel of the Near East, the city of Babylon, was once again in Babylonian hands. Now they could truly rebuild themselves, with the great discoveries of the Classical Age.
Yet, India offered merely a white peace. This was unnacceptable. They had rampaged across Babylon and killed so many Babylonian lives. They cost Babylon, albeit indirectly, the Arabian peninsula and Anatolia.
Babylon was now a mere third of her earlier size.
Hammurabi seethed with hate for the disgraceful Indians. He looked out on Babylon, with all its destruction. The beautiful temple burned to the ground. The great volumes of the Library shredded, which regularly blew in the wind with the sand, and would eventually make their way to India.
Babylon had been raped by them. He would not forgive such a contemptful race and give them no losses. No way in hell.
The light from his window shown on his face as he continued to look out. He would avenge the dirty sneak attack on him and his nation if he died in the process.
India would burn.
To: Rome
We require your assistance in training for the re-recruiting of our forces, as much of our population has been restored, and our resources of people are as of yet untapped. If you would be so kind as to re-construct our conscription methods, we would be eternally grateful.
Most sincerely,
Hammurabi
To: India
You can take your peace offer and shove it forcefully up your rear end. India will burn, but 10 times worse than Babylon ever did.
I hope to see Delhi in flames one day.
To: Egypt
Please do not be so nearly contemplated with the lands of Ethiopia. India caused great war and strife across the entire known world! We cannot let them go unpunished. It is not enough to have driven them from Babylonian lands. We must make them pay!
Most sincerely,
Hammurabi
To: The Arab Confederation
We would like to offer vassalization to your nation so that we may show our bonds as the Arabic nations in the world.
Orders:
- If the Romans will allow it, use the new conscription methods to increase the armies size--result depends on ratio of soldiers to civilians in the nation.
- Push all forces Eastward into Indian-oppressed Persia.
