The general walked into the war room at Lisbon. The general was not the noble type that seemed to come with the new age, a huge scar across his face was the cause of much talk within the Spanish nobles but his prowess in battle made him a feared enemy.
“Sire I will take the majority of our army and invade the Viking colony in Africa, the people there have been influenced by our culture for some time now.” Rev looked over at the plans and asked the cardinal next to him “what do you think about this war?” The cardinal sighed and said we must help the poor people living under the Iron Age Vikings.
“Do it also tell the admiral to send the fleets to destroy the Viking navy. Both of you should have no trouble as they are still in the Iron Age. Also start building a invasion army trained to invade Viking land. Make sure that they can survive winter there”

Expand army and have trained for cold weather fighting. (I’ll spend 2 turns on these special regiments)

The General stood smiling before his troops, they held the center of Russia, they would continue to hold it as long as the Russian spirit remained. No one would join them, the world had ignored the prophetic speech of the Tsar, he had a speech to make now, a hope to offer his weary men as the Catholic forces pushed forward to their city.

The Eastern orthodox church was, and in fact still is the primary church in Russia, It is as old at least as the Catholic faith and is the result of the original schism between the descendants of Christ's followers. I am not, and never intended to start an early reformation, which i am sure some of you suspected.

The battlefield lay with dead bodies. The Roman war machine had acomplished another victory. The Cossack sneak attack was nothing compared to the disapline of the Roman might. The emperor was using his new weaponry perfectly. Already 2 Citys had crubled thanks to the Catapults.

The Pope on the other hand was playing poltics not war. The Vikings had pleaded for acceptance by the pope. Germany and Spain on the otherhand were invading Vikingland. The Pope wanted another ally tough not an enemy.

A new stratagy was underway. The Army and the restless Navy would be hard at work. Russia would cruble soon.

Split Army into 3
- 10% Go help Germany in the north
-60% continue East/Notheast
-30% Head into Caucasus

All of the Navy will secure the Black Sea

Actully Hitler would have been ready but he didn't order enough winter clouthing for his troops, seriously. All they need is better clouthing and tents thats all. After all how do the Russians survive teir winter, they prepare. That's exactlly what I'm doing.
