Senate
Monarchists - 23 out of 110
Anti-Pagan Puritans - 21 out of 110
Commerce Bloc - 30 out of 110 (MAJORITY!)
Socialists - 26 out of 110
Nationalists - 10 out of 110
The purpose for the existence of the anti-Pagan Puritans is gone. Most of the other Senators are also highly-anti-Pagan. The Socialists have lost support, though, because of a schism in party ranks. Radicals, led by Russian refugee Vladimir Illiych Lenin, wanted an immediate revolution to bring a socialist government. The moderates, however, preferred to do it via democratic electoral means - gaining a majority in the Senate. While it was still one party - the New Hollander Socialist Party - it was now a split between the party's left-wing - Socialist Revolutionaries - and its right-wing - the People's Democrats. This caused a splintered platform from the Socialists, which confused voters and did not attract necessary votes. Still, the Commerce Bloc won by a very small margin of 4 votes more than the Socialists. The loss of the votes was caused by the rise of a new party - the New Hollander Nationalist Union. This party is on the extreme right-wing of the political spectrum. It took away votes from both the Monarchists and the Commerce Bloc by attracting some corporates and upper-bourgeoisie with their propaganda. Their own paramilitary organization - the Black Shirts - had also intimidated some of the middle class, too. The Nationalists were highly anti-socialist, and declared that they would do anything to prevent the rise of the Socialist Party. This gained the immediate approval of the Monarchists, but the Commerce Bloc was wary.
The invasion of Zululand was moderately successful. The goal this time was just to gain a beachhead. That was accomplished. Now: gain more land.
Behind closed doors, the Military Command Council was discussing the plans for invasion...

What are we doing? Nothing! Has this organizaiton come to a total standstill???
To Russia:
We ask that you withdraw from Rome and stop this war with them. You are, in effect, helping the Zulus because the Romans must send their troops to defend against you while they should be deploying them against the evil Zulus. Even if you don't go against the Zulus, then at least withdraw from Rome, make peace, and at least remain neutral.
To Zulus:
We will not allow your tyranny to grow in power! You must be stopped immediately!
