Queen Joan d'Arc was perplexed by her Roman neighbor's actions. It would seem that instead of taking the high road in the international community and allowing Greece, or at least Athens, total sovreignty, they had burned one of the greatest cities in the world...

Pleased that he had recieved a postive response from at least one of the nations he sent diplomatic messages to.
The Viking people cried our for the reclaimation of Viking territory, and as the Republican leader of the nation I simply can not ignore their wishes.
They are even willing to conduct a long war against the entire Catholic powers alliance, something which I need to try and avoid at all costs.

Rome was still growing. The Navy had increrased slightly. The rebels in Greece had disperced. Rome was the financial capital of Europe, and perhaps had the best economy in the world. They would have to use this economy to good use. They would have to stay on top to do so they would need better military technology.

We must ask to continue to hold New Orlenica as it has become an active trading post, what better claim can you have than that our men fought and died for them? had it been an original city of the NAC i would readily surrender it but i cannot as my men, not yours toopk it and hold it.
