The war in Africa was going smoothly. The Zulu soldiers were giving in to Roman and Spainish might. The conquest of a deep water port would help in the continuing campaign. But something was happening in Rome that may stop the war. It was a campaign of it's own. A political campaign. It was election time once again. The 3 major parties had diffrent platforms. The commercial party was on the New World and trade. The militant party was on the war train and this train was in Africa. The empirelists were against the African war and how we got bavk what we wanted and we should focas on europian matters. By the end of the year the empirelists position worked out and they gained the majority.

With this lead they would end the war. The ctommarow and Pax ROmana parties was behind them and the commercial was supposibly going to back them up. Unfortunetlly it didn't work that way. It was a "tie" a 62-58 vote. The emperor voted against stopping the war. He thought it best to keep the war going. Keep his enemys down and create vetrain troops.

With the word of the outcome of the vote the military powers continued the push into zululand.

Meanwhile the economic party won the vote to increase trade and the militant plan to increase Army size was approived.

If you have any right to that land you might well take Hati too as that isn't part of continental South America.

Sorry, I have to quit this for three reasons:

1) For some reason despite the orders right at the beginning of my taking of Canada to secure the entire thing, the expansion has not continued.

2) College is taking up way too much of my time, as is working.

and 3) Because I don't have much time on here(cause I also go out for a drink two nights a week, meaning that I often can't come on AT ALL on a Saturday), I'm discriminated against(sorry EQ but you did admit that lol) and my British dukes ARE JUST TOO DARNED DUMB TO EVEN CONTINUE CARRYING OUT ORDERS I GAVE THEM JUST ONE TURN AGO!

Oh and EQ, about your point earlier, in PMed orders though, where there is actual buying it is a lot more complex, like in UKNES7 you have to constantly work out how you will feed enough reinforcements through to the front lines to hold anything you take in a war etc. I feel this NES could become even better if it had some more advanced orders that could be done, such as allowing your army to have bonuses etc to make the nations more individual(and I know that some like it have been given in stories, but I mean real bonuses on the front page etc) and had more tactical moves etc.

Anyway, I think also just having a nation continue to move as its previous orders specify if the person doesn't post would improve this NES, since most people don't have the time to post EVERY day of EVERY week, and so would be much more re-assured knowing that their nation was still moving(look how much damage not moving did to England!). I mean, one of the reasons I often couldn't be bothered to post to end the 24 hour warning after I'd been away is cause I could see how badly Britain were doing due to that fact.

Hope these points help to improve the NES, and sorry I can't play anymore.

Joan d'Arc had toured the country, seeing her people cheer for her as she rattled along in her country carriage. Brest, Tours, Marseilles, all in the beautiful serenity that was the French countryside...

Yet, her beautiful country needed so much to fear...she had few friends. Vikingland and the NEC, basically. Even those in the Catholic alliance had turned against her after her refusal of combat in the dank lands of the Zulu. Now, France stood practically alone.

There was so much to do and so little time to do it. She needed the new technology, though that would most likely be arranged without much trouble from the Vikings. The imputent natives were attempting to embargo the European nations, but then again, it didn't much matter; no one wanted to trade with them anyway. She certainly wanted use of that Panama canal, though.

She leaned over the her Foreign Advisor whom had gone on the trip with her. The carriage trotted over the cobblestones and rattled back to the Castle in Paris as they discussed the potential for an alliance of sorts with the NEC...

Then there was the threat from Germany. A war with them loomed hazardous on the horizon, and she would not be taken for a fool. The Germans wanted to turn around, grab an English knife, and stab her in the back? It wasn't like it was hard to intercept transnational communiques these days, was it? Well, that fool in Berlin would be shown not to try and cross France...
