The King of Spain and the Grand colony of Africa and South America (His full formal name) was sitting in on his throne. There had been some delay in the new technology’s coming in but a new request would be made. The navy was very small and badly needed to be upgraded. New funds were put into the Navy. Also more men were sent over to the New Lisbon (South America colony capital) to help the consent expanding effort that would be ongoing.

It was a time of peace and prosparity in Rome. The elections were being held just as always. The militant party was losing favor. Their long stance on England's ally and African expansionwas going to be their downfall. People now saw England as an aggressor with their invasion if Vikingland. People wanted Roman intervension in the war. Germany was also preparing to invade their French allys. No Roman would stand up to the militant's stand on matters. When the election came the empirelist party swept the nation. A suprising 60 seats were won and the commercial party took over the militant's position as the second largest party.

With half of the senate in their control and the emperor also in their party any action they took could be easily won. Their first act was the upgrade of the military forces to the new technology. They then wanted to form a blockade of england but that idea was tossed out when it would be too difficult and most likely not work.

Germany became the main plan of action. The troops on the border would be increased.

Spain would be given the new technology, instead of having to buy it from the russians. Their old allys would be very pleased.

The pope was put into a difficult place. On the one hand he could tear apart the 2nd most power alliance in the world or watch the Anglo-German armies burn Europe. It was a choice that would not and could not be made by this pope. The govement of Spain and the holy church would like to announce elections for Pope. This time it will not be Spain as we abstain our vote and will not take the mantle of the office until Catholic’s learn to make peace.

The King on the overhand was watching the battle’s with glee as in his mind any war between other nations just weakened them and made Spain stronger in comparison, but something was getting on the nerves of this King as the Roman senate kept electing the party of people who wanted to rule Europe. The war though made the upgrading of the army a matter of prime importance.
