I was originally planning to start this game after the Never-Before-Seen Civs game had concluded, but since people are wanting to do multiple rounds over there, I thought I might as well get this started, as it will take longer to get through.

The 30 contenders in this game are those civs which have previously been in a Civ game but have yet to be seen in Civ6. The Vikings, Native Americans and Holy Roman Empire have been disqualified due to considerable overlap.

As we want as many civs as possible to return, the objective this time is not to eliminate those you are less interested in, but to prioritize those you would like to return the most.

This will be the only other elimination game I'll be posting/hosting besides the Never-Seen Civs one. Two is plenty for anybody to manage.

Standard Forum Elimination Game Rules:

1) Every 24 hours, you add 1 point to one civilization you want to see and subtract 3 points from a civ that you are less eager to see return.
2) Each civ starts with 20 points. First civ eliminated takes last place, and so forth. Last surviving contender takes the Gold!
3) Give a reason each time you vote for why you chose as you did.
4) Don't comment in the thread unless your post contains your daily votes.
5) Don't get upset because Civ X wasn't included or because Civ Y was. This is based purely on those civs which have already been featured in prior games.

Venetians 20-1=17 I'd much rather have the Italians. Besides, a one city-civ is just weird.
Zulus 20

Edit: Fixed Venice, thanks.

Edit 2: Added Zulus.

Shoshone 20 - 3 = 17 It does not interest me, its addition in BNW seems to have been a last-minute choice.

@The Kingmaker I think there was a mistake in Venetians, you subtracted 1 point instead of 3, so I fixed it for you

Ethiopians 20
Hittites 20
Huns 20-3=17 Cause Scythia has taken their spot and horse archer (calling it Hunnic Horse Archer won't work in my opinion), plus battering ram is buildable by all civs now
Incas 20
Indonesians 20
Iroquois 20
Khmer 20+1=21 Southeast Asia is currently unrepresented, plus Angkor Wat is not a wonder yet...

Dutch 20
Ethiopians 20
Hittites 21 (Not necessarily the one I'd like to see back the most, though they are high on that list, but rather the one with the higher Like to Likelihood ration)

Huns 14 (17 - 3) I believe "barbarians" should suffice en lieu of this particular civ
Incas 20
Indonesians 20
Iroquois 20
Khmer 21
Koreans 20
Malians 20
Mayans 22 (21 + 1) They're an important civ from the Americas that I have a personal interest in. IMO they should be the vanilla staple, and not the Aztecs.

Hittites 21

Incas 21 (20+1) The game desperately needs more pre-Columbian American civs, and this is arguably the most sucessful.

The Zulus accidentally got clipped off the bottom of my list, so the next player will need to add "Zulus 20" to the bottom of the list.

I've corrected the first game post.

I was going to gang up on Venice but I don't think it'll need my help to drop like a rock so I'll save my votes for more hearty targets. Targets like Sweden. While I didn't have any real opposition to their appearance in Gods and Kings as they were quite the formidable power in their time and filled out an area that was otherwise quite barren since we already have Norway in 6 as a base game civ the inclusion of its sister state just seems superfluous at this time. Down the line it would make sense to add Sweden as Norway is clearly just a poorly disguised "Viking" civilization so having a more modernized Nordic nation to fill out the roster would be sensible I wouldn't want them added any time in the near future as we simply have more prominent holes to fill (phrasing).

Native, fleshes out the map, one of the series' long runners, powerful, big empire, marketable, big personalities, recognizable. Let's take a walk down memory lane to the glorious Great Andean Road.

I'd like to see Austria as a part of Germany since Austrian and German cultures/peoples are very similar. I think Austria merits a second leader for Germany but not their own civ.
There are no civs from South East Asia and we need one.

There are so many civs I'd love to see return, but Mali would be my absolute #1. Africa is underrepresented, they'd be a great Gold + Faith civ, and Musa would be a terrific character to add to the game with his heaps of money.

And it's nothing personal, but with Norway in the game as it is, Denmark would be the least interesting and most unnecessary addition from this list.

Assyria's been clipped off the last couple of votes.

The next voter needs to add the Assyrians back to the top with 20 points.

So many good choices! It's my personal opinion that no grouping of people who never made any significant changes to chiefdom cannot really be called a civilization. So no to Polynesia :undecide:
I'll give my first vote to the obvious missing contender from the current roster :)
