Played a 3-player game the other day, got America and Britain as the AI opps. All of us on one continent.

Peaceful game; no wars declared, and I won a Space Race victory.

One interesting tidbit. Due to culture pressure ...

Boston flipped from America to Britain!

I just found this very humorous, even for a game where every possible combination of Civ, Wonders, Great People, ETC, can happen.

Any other quickie stories out there?

I was once Germany and I was a large power. I decided to attack Churchill. However, with my recon missions with fighters, I discovered that his city garrisoners would be too powerful for my stacks of doom. So, I bombed some of his cities, and killed a couple units that wandered into my territory. Then, as I was seeing how much he would sue for peace, I saw that he would capitulate.

Churchill. Capitulating. Germany. Air Strikes.

Play Earth18 as france and just build lots of wonders. You can have France conquering England nonviolently... London joining France.

My favorite is Jewish Germany successfully winning against Russia and then having Russia peacevassal to China. WTH?

And also on that map... the Native Americans wiped out the U.S.

You must have changed the AI's. Native Americans aren't on Earth18. Aztecs regularly wipe out the U.S. on Earth18. If the human isn't Roosevelt, America is usually insignificant.

RFC is great for this. Since it follows a regular procession of Civs spawning (and a number of collapses) and Civs tending to follow the religions they did in the real world you get near-earth situations with one or two tweaks. I often do a reverse crusade and have the Arabs conquer Europe.

Nah, I just consider Aztecs to be native Americans too. =p But yea, Roosevelt is a terrible AI that gets killed by Monte.

Huh - I think it'd be pretty nifty if one of Churchil's traits as an AI is that he would never, ever capitulate.

Heh, is this not how history happened before the 1st Crusade kicked off? I mean you can quibble about how far into Europe penetration occurred, but the "reverse crusades" predate the "actual crusades."

Well, the Arabians were beaten back somewhere in southern France, coming from Spain. Now you are close to discovering why the rock of Gibraltar is called that.

The Aztecs getting attacked by Spain worked a lot better for me than the real Montezuma. It did actually seem pretty similar at first: I spend my time building Pyramids, religious buildings, and making tons of gold when Isabella's vastly superior troops come in to take it all. Luckily, though, without disease to kill 90% of the Aztec population, I could whip out a stack of Jaguars and take the fight to her. Madrid is now Aztec, and Isabella my Vassal.
