RevolutionDCM for BTS

I just downloaded the last version of RevDCM and noticed that space race is broken (I do not know if that was the case before, did not try)
- Apollo is not needed to build the spaceships component
- The flight takes double the expected time; I played a game at quick speed and the ship requires 13 turns with all the components, when it should require 6 turns; tested at normal speed, and again, the flight time was doubled.

I join a WBsave that you can use to test that (note it should be renamed to testSpaceRevDcm.CivBeyondSwordWBSave ); just give yourself the mining corp, launch a golden age and change to bureaucracy/state property and you can zoom through spaceships components to look at the final time a few turns later.
 
Hi,

what am I missing here? I just noticed that Ranged Bombardment does not deal ANY damage...?

It's the same with v2.00 and v2.10...

Anyone else experiencing the same? What can be the cause?

edit: also with 1.02. Is it one of my settings? But I just installed the mods, did not change anything...
 
I am trying to combine two mods. Civ gold 4.0 and Revolutions 1.65. I've patched up to 3.17. I have the patch for Gold 4.0. I created a folder called Revolutions. Put the files in it in their appropriate order. Deleted the cache. The mod load loads but when I go to start a game it craps out on me. I had this setup working with Revolutions 1.4 and Gold 3.0. Was very stable and fun. But I can't get this to work. Any suggestions? None of the files overlap... I would like to include Revolutions DCM but I'm pretty stubborn on using Gold 4.0. I like the greater choices of Civilizations to play... So can anyone help?

Thanks for the save game. Will take a look. If space race is wrong it will be an xml pollution of some kind and if range bombard is dead that would have to be something with xml as well. The SDK code in these areas has hardly changed since 1.00

Hi there. I've already merged RevolutionDCM 2.00 with my MOD but it seems there is a new version with some new fixes :eek:. I was wondering which files were edited, just to merge what is really necessary (you know, to many XML files and python code :crazyeye:). Hope to get an answer :goodjob:

First glance it appears that the apollo program can be built more than once. In my example, it is built already in the victory screen but can still be built in a city once it has been built. Why I do not know. I also do not know when it started....

Small bug found from RevDCM 2.0: The civic screen does not parse BuildingHappinessChanges and BuildingHealthChanges xml modifires. Seems that WoC lite doesn't parse those either - those modifiers aren't used in normal BtS so they've properly have gone unnoticed by the WoC team as well.

my error report stands under the default settings, with Range Bombardment ON, Naval OFF.
Once I turn Naval bombardment ON, Range Bombardment starts to cause damage.

I think this should help narrow it down.

i once had aproblem that i set the order of the revolution button check box in custom game screen,

in a different order,
that made other check box to acctually activate revolutions,

so this error might be becaused glider changed the position of some sdk /xml code related to the position.

There's at least two problems with RevDCM (see above posts) as well as stuff going on in the bug forums, so this build 2.10 looks like it's kaput for reasons yet unclear.

Thanks for that on the woc_installer. Java is a really beautiful programming language and the woc_team did a great job on their java utility. That installer will be improved further, but for now there are spot fires burning on version 2.1 that have to be put out before the whole building goes up. Unfortunately I'm going to have to let the spot fires flare for lack of time.

Is there any chance we could get a non WoC RevDCM build with the new improvements to AI logic and recent bug fixes?
 
This modpack does just about everything I want a mod to do! Great job!

I just tried out the latest RevDCM, and saw that the icons for all of the resources have changed. Just wondering... how do I get them to go back to the vanilla BtS icons?

Check the post #1166. There is a link that has the fonts of the vanilla Civ4. I've already tried them so you should not have problems :). Just copy and replace the files. ;)

I reverted to the non-WOC version. The WOC version has some bugs, plus (anecdotally, to be sure) it seems to re-introduce the "declare war on the player, even if I have to get 6 open border agreements to do it, and ignore my neighbors" from pre-Better AI.

I have no idea if that last part is real or just my feeling though.
