RFCE++ Beta

I think thats exactly it. So all i should need to know is how i can replace those pathes by the initial rfce xmls..? Does maybe somebody know what folders and so we are talking about..? in the initial rfce folders?

To see if it was a windows 7 problem i downloaded it using xp on my. still pink boxes on original RFCE buttons though.......

Ok, I just double checked it and Beta 2 does not seem to have any problem with pink boxes. I urge you to re-read the instructions on the first page. Some things you might have missed:
-This version does not use the latest version of RFCE. You have to go to sourceforge, click "files" and choose Beta 13.
-You have to rename the RFCE folder, and then unzip the RFCE++ archive into that folder.

So, uh, the new Beta is out. Details in first post. From now on, to avoid confusion, there is only one download needed (no more renaming and overwriting folders).

Oh, and the new major feature:

Historical Scenarios
The mod now supports alternate scenarios, for now there is a 1260 AD start. This can be a way to cut down on loading times or get a more "historical" feel while playing a civ during an interesting period in that civ's history. I'm also planning starts in 1580 (all civs spawned) and 1648 (Peace of Westphalia).

For the modding-interested, there are a few new WBS tags to support UHV's and the HRE, look in the 1260 WBS and you'll figure it out soon enough.

Keep up the good work! :goodjob:

Edit: you might want to rework the locations of the "corporations" a bit more, because there aren't many cities with knightly orders, for example (shouldn't there be Templars in France?). Same goes for the teutonic order in the prussian cities as well as the Hansa, whose headquarters is not Lubeck for some reason.

do you need the bugfix that solves lategame crashing from native RFCE?

Yeah, the scenario is currently a bit rushed and mostly proof of concept since I wanted to get the new version out as quickly as possible.

No, since this version is still building on Beta 13 (I don't plan to do any more conversions until 1.0).

I think that the lategame crash-bugfix doesn't work for the rfce++ beta 13 version.. I dont know but i think it crashes randomly at some point, i started a game yesterday with france and it crashes at some point but i could reload, than around turn 260 or so it crashes again and no way to reload again..well like i cant reload anything ive saved..
But love it..

Hmm, I had a crash once while testing but I wasn't able to replicate it so I assumed it was a memory thing.. I guess I'll have to look into it.

I think it could be the same problem as the "Turn 300-Crash" of the vanilla mod. IIRC, the bugged code were also in Beta 13. It wouldn't hurt if you check that.

Does anyone else get triple starting units for France?

Whoops, seems you're both right. Hotfix time! Also available in first post.
