I'm fine with Kingdom of Bohemia, but since the medieval country never was democratic, there is no real precedent for what to call the medieval democratic state. Bohemian Republic sounds really strange to me, though. I'd argue for Bohemian Kingdom, Bohemian peoples, etc., but more modern ones as Czech Republic.

Maybe due to the addition of Novgorod, I've noticed that Moscow collapses very often around the 1550's because of the (assumed) instability of expansion. Since Novgorod and Kiev usually end up collapsing pr being conquered by Moscow (as expected), this leaves Russia terribly underdeveloped, even after the Kiev respawn sometime later. I would suggest a boost to Moscow's stability, perhaps through the addition of more solid provinces or something of the like.

BTW, here's the future of the RFCE++:
-I'm terribly busy next week.
-After that, if 1.0 is not released (probably not), I'll make a final beta with only the new map and some RFCE++ specific changes.
-Whenever 1.0 is released, I'll make a RC and then a 1.0.
-After that I will work on RFCE 2.0 which will incorporate most of the stuff from RFCE++.

RFCE 1.0 won't be released in 1-2 weeks
Maybe at the end of January but probably it will be in early February
Anyway, if you plan to base the next version of RFCE++ on the new map, I should adopt at least a few updates to the Levant before that

I am not aware whether this has been reported already, but the 2nd swedish UHV (raze catholic cities) doesn't work. Also are you planning to do a quick fix to the Star fort, it is a real game breaker at the moment.

Otherwise, I got to say that these extra civs and HRE really add flavour to RFCE, which used to be dull imo. Great job!

Will look into the UHV. Star fort sure, that's an easy fix.

I agree with this but not for this version.

The last beta should be done this weekend. The map conversion and new settler/warmaps is done, right now I'm working on the last new feature (I know I said no more features, I lied).

after spending over an hour and a half and consulting my computer programming father i finally was able to install the game..... problem is that now all the icons that are new to RFCE are just pink screens but the ones that were added to the modmodmod work fine...... anybody know what's going on with my computer?

Sounds like you did not overwrite the RFCEurope folder properly (you have to rename it).

..I decided on this installation procedure when this was only a slight modification to RFCE, since it's grown a bit since then I guess I should start providing pre-installed packages.

I tried it again using a temp folder outside of the program files folder. I'm using windows 7 so sometimes security permission is a major pain. it asks me to copy and replace all conflicting files and i do so. The CvGameCoreDLL.dll file and a 186 files that currently existed in the RFCEurope folder that were also in the new PlusPlus file. should i be overwriting all these files? majority of them are .py and .xml files.

Yeah its true with those pink icons, i installed it fine and propperly as indicated and it worked immediately, exept for those pink icons that already existed in RFCE or SOI or whatever, but i dont think it didnt copy and replaced properly? For the moment Im fine with it cause there is still the explanation
But however great extension!! You really put in what was still missing in RFCE...

Could it have sometjing to do with this: winrar is asking me while decompressing into rfceplusplus folder to replace "Assets\Art\RFCE.ico" and others..? Maybe still set to older versions of ++?
Just found out that if im not replacing those last folders icons exist again, but some other concepts might not work..

Thanks! well i tried not replacing everything and the entire thing crapped out..... Well naturally i have another problem........ my game crashes while playing reapetedly. i got to 1035 as Norway and it crashed, and similarly with Scotland and Denmark. i reloaded it and it crashed again. i know positivly this problem is my computer because it's done the same thing on other mods like GEM and darkciv and Rise of Mankind, and importantly on RFCE.

Morholt, I was doing the Arabic city name map when I noticed a good spot for a Moroccan oasis city. It's in the mountain range farthest to the Southeast. It's a good spot for Taghaza, which was one of the major Saharan trading towns. I'm suggesting adding the oasis, a gold, and taking away one of the mountains so that it's accessible. See the screenshots.

I think those mountains are needed for the rise and fall code, unless 3Miro changed it units are spawned and deleted there every turn to keep the player from getting the "You are defeated!" message.

Well I tried all possible suits for this pink icons problem, seems like no one other than me and stransberry has got this same problem, so I really dont have any idea anymore..
If someone has the time and the nerves to try out and installing the new version maybe again just to try out and verifying if this happens to anybody else too..? Well it is not extremly necessary because there still are the needed explanations, but yeah, it counts only for the initial rfce icons..? Bizzare..

I have the same problem, and I'm using win 7 as well. As we all know, it won't allow us to unzip straight to the folder. Could this be a factor?

You should be able to convert directly in folder, just open the file you downloaded with winrar or whatever and click on extract to, choose the folder... But i dont think this has to do with computer, i think there must be an error in the initial file, icons missing from rfce...

That's not it. My RFCE installation is working just fine (well, crashes from time to time), but RFCE++ has the pink icons.

I think the Pink Icon bug is in the XML. The buttons are in the game (I think), but the path to the buttons in the XML are wrong.
