I was playing as Austria and I notice the tech slider can only go up to a max of 80%?
Yes, in RoX every gov't has a different Rate Cap, ranging from 8 to 10. A rate cap of 8 means you can't have more than 80% going into science or your treasury, a rate cap of nine means 90%, and a rate cap of 10 means no limits.
By the way, in a few minutes I'm leaving on a family vacation until Friday, so cya all after that... Happy civving!

I really really really wanna know if there is a production specialist! Ahhhh i wish you could tell me!

If theres not, first thing im changing is adding one!

That'll be the beauty of Civ 4, we can change stuff like that rather than having to hope and beg the developers to include it in the editor. I can't wait!

Soooo exciting! The sad part is that Civ4 is going to basically obliterate everything we've done here... like whos gonna care about RoCX when they can just play Civ4 and not even think about the problems we were trying to solve.

... oh darn ;p

When will results from RGC3 be posted?

Greetings everyone. I just got Rox last week and I have to say it is an awesome experience. It is exactly what I needed - a historical CivIII mod. My compliments to the design team. My first game I got worked as Germany on Emperor. I was on the bottom of a mean dogpile. I tried again as Russia and am doing fairly well. I like the extra defense of the cossack - i had one on mountain west of the Caspian Sea and he killed four Mongolian UU Horse Archers on defense. The one rate of fire for the cannon is a good change for game balance. I do like the bombard units. It is one of my favorite strategies - build mass cannon or artillery and redline a huge stack of ai to slaughter them with my defensive units to make them elite (that way they will defend more effectively).
Ive been playing RaR religiously lately and I really enjoy this mod. I think ill have to try England next or maybe an Asian Civ. Thanks again Rhye for sharing your work.

I have been playing several games simultaneously in recent weeks. I always start my games with certain personal goals in mind. "This time I will be a builder, and enter into no foreign wars" or "this time I will build a great war machine".

Right now I am having a great time on a One City Challenge with Israel, while also dominating Asia as the Mongols (love their UUs).

I often notice that I get bored once my empires enter the mid industrial period. Wars are no longer as much fun (too many MPPs), and I get sick of watching ever unit near my empire move. Basically I love the early empire building. :)

Its easier to just turn off their animations using the options menu. I turn off most of the animations but it is still really slow for me too. I have to agree with Barak, the early building period is def the best!

i have never gotten i mod before and im have problems. i downloaded it then instaled it (the extended one with it own read me) under civilization 3 /conquests / scenarios and a started civ up went to civ content and it was not there. is the something else i should do. plz help me. thanks

...erm... well... as I translate it, you are having difficulty finding the .biq file in the Civ Content Menu? Correct?

And you used the installer? Hunt around in this folder (C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios) for a file named Rhye's of Civilization Expanded.biq, and three folders, one named Rhye's of Civilization, one named Rhye's of Civilization X, and one named Rhye's of Civilization XF.

If they are all in there, please make sure that you downloaded the patch for version 1.22 of Civilization 3 Conquests (available here: http://www.civfanatics.com/civ3/patches/ ) without which the scenario will crash.

If the file and folders are there and you are already patched but still not able to play, delete the file and folders and try installing again to the C drive location I gave you above.

If none of that works, you might have to redownload the file. Which might not solve anything because something is well and truly buggered. Hopefully this is not the case. Hopefully the simple solutions above will cure all your woes and put a smile on your face ;p

Am I the only one who absolutely adores late-game wars? They're just so awesome and grand-scale and complex! You have so many different ways of making the filthy foreigners pay for their sins. Yeah, it's a bit hard to find foreigners whose friends won't beat the crap out of you, but sometimes a world war is alot of fun as well... Many opportunities for conquest when everyone is killing everyone.
:)

For me it was horrible, because I always playing on Chieftain-Monarch and in this game I learn how civ works and game was very interesting, challenging and funny. Thanks.
