Rhye, i would like to know if the leaderhead is still in your project. Cause i'm already playing with my Napoleon (i made the change in 2.48) and i enjoy it. In my opinion, it's not a VERY big change cause i don't really look at the leaderhead too much when a leader come see me. But it's interesting to see a new leader like Napoleon in the game instead of Jeanne d'Arc. I still hate her and it's not gonna change soon.
Maybe we could start a poll asking if people want a new leader for france or maybe they want to keep Jeanne d'Arc. It's up to you cause for me, it's already change  .

I will start asking after I know how the final result is. I hate Joan of Arc, too, but I will make the change with a similar quality 3d animated leaderhead, era-specific.
I haven't heard any news from you: when I know that the leaderhead is complete (looking like Napoleon, era-specific correct cloths and backgrounds) we'll see how big the download is and what people prefer

Ok cool but i don't think people are ready to accept the model i did. I like it even if it's not very similar as the real napoleon... I just want a new leaderhead and this one do the job for me. I'm using the one with the good cloth, good hair and good background (in my opinion), the last you have seen i think.

People was complaining about nose but i will tell you the true cause you know Poser 5.. it's IMPOSSIBLE to reproduce napoleon's nose with Poser 5 for me. If someone can do it, i will be happy to see it and use it but untill someone try Poser, i will continue to use the one i have cause i like it very much and i don't see much difference with the original leaderhead in the game.
For now, i'm playing a lot cause i've miss an entire week trying to reproduce something that i can't (nose). I'm sure it's easier to reproduce his dick than his nose.
Next week-end, i plan to make a leaderhead for Canada and Mexico and finish my mod with Canada and Mexico.

I found in my deleted mails a mail with a short guide to Ottomans. Received in July, 19. Whose is that? Beernuts?

Indeed that would be me, I made some modifications to it so i'll just send it again. :)

I looked at the savegame and noticed 2 odd things:
1) You must uncheck "show food and shields on the map" because they show wrong food and shields, as well as the yellow landmarks
2) You shouldn't play with accelerated production, unless you want to be at the industrial age in 700AD like in your savegame

Sorry for the spamming, it was 7h00 in the morning before going to work. My eyes weren't straight behind their holes.

Are you sure food and shields are displayed wrong? The food and shields let me know which land to terraform first. And I don't play for historical accuracy, don't have time for useless turns (ADD). So accelerated production doesn't bother me.

Maybe I should try a harder difficulty, because on Monarch the enemy cities had 3-4 guys MAX before war started. I played as Austria using Hortons guide and it is currently 200 b.c. and I control most of central Europe (Germany, Netherlands, France, Greece is next :groucho: ) This was your new version 2.48 or something

You'll be surprised by how differently the mod plays on emperor rather than on monarch or below. it's like a whole different game.

If you want a good challenge play as a non-Euro civ like Carthage or Persia. The Euro civs will set a very fast tech pace and you'll have to use every trick you can think of to keep up. My current game is as carthage and I'm struggling. Somehow the Germans have become a juggernaut and I'm 6+ techs down and they have over 11,000 gold banked. They have made me a rogue state by buying alliances against me with every other developed AI. I'm fighting rifleman with Ancient Cavalry and trebuchets hehe.

Beernuts-> Sure. Look the desert. In my mod it is 0/0/0, while instead a rock(shield) is shown.
Many LM terrains are 1/0/0, not counting the invisible resources that add food/shield/commerce.
I wrote it in the readme: uncheck it, it will only show wrong information. (And it will show the ugly yellow landmarks)

Horton, is 2.48 more difficult?

Rhye,

Something I think needs to be considered is that a cultural win just does not seem to be viable in this mod. I have played dozens of games with different civs and tried out different styles, builder/warmonger etc, and I have never come close to either 100k or 20k victories.

Is this by design?

Rhye...am I right in thinking that the Optimal City Number Calculator is not valid for your settings??
