RifE 1.20 Bug Thread

I might not be best person to judge how things works as I am pig to my computer, but I was able to play 1.12, but 1.2 crashes for me too. I see you are asking for saves, so I provided one. I have just one thinng to add- after saving the game I entered Worldbuilder and manually deleted all other civilizations- this helped my 100 percent, I got CTD on end of turn 2 ;).

I added the DLLs to the civ4, bts and RisE coredll folders, but it still crashes after 2-3 moves (i settle, move my two warriors and it crashes).. i was trying to play as the cualli slavers
 
Maybe im doing it wrong, after I download it.. where should it go? And it shouldnt be overwriting anything.. simple adding to the folder correct?
 
I don't think it's an issue with civ-specific climates (Just tested) but it COULD be an issue with religion climates; Did you have the White Hand?

I eventually got the White Hand, but the freezing of all owned territory started before. Later I started a game as Legions of D'Tesh, without Illians in the game, and my land still froze.

It goes in Rise from Erebus/assets, replacing the current dll.

I'll put better instructions in the download link.

That may be the same issue Sephi fixed; Tell me, did the freeze STOP at Snow or did it keep going until Glacial? If the first, it's unrelated; If the second, it'll be fixed by Sephi's fix.

The freeze went to Snow, never Glacial while not following the White Hand. When I switched to White Hand, it started cooling down again.

So; unrelated...

Wonderful. Okay, will track it down; Debug DLL is compiling now.

Will be hard to track down unless I have a save where it's happening though; Could you upload one please?

Actually, unconditional freezing seems to have stopped with the hotfix.

Now how the heck am I supposed to survive Minotaurs spawning turn 14 when the best available unit is strength 2?

Minotaurs are only 4 defense: Take the fight to them, don't wait for them to attack you. ;)

Glad to hear that the freezing was fixed too, couldn't think of anything that could cause it other than either A)Same thing Sephi fixed, just caused the code to freak out or B)Like you said earlier, it wasn't clearing between different players, which would be far worse.

Got Sephi's fix from the download page and copy (and replaced) into Assets folder of RifE. Also spent the afternoon manually telling Vista to update drivers and stuff I thought was being done automatically. Still crashed after first turn.

By the way, we're limited in how much we can upload to the forum, so how do I get rid of old uploads if I get near the limit?

Will check it out. If you would, redownload the hotfix and try it; Looks like I had neglected to put the compiler to Final Release, instead of Debug, so I uploaded an old version. New one is the correct DLL.

As for removing old attachments, go My Account, look in the bar at the right, towards the bottom you have Attachments. Can add/remove them there.

Tried it and got a game to go to turn 10 without CTD. If I'm not back for a while, it's working :)
 
OK, 80 turns in with a decent starting position and no problems, aside from too many muris clan goblins. But they're polluting tiles destined to be desert, so I don't care as much.
