RifE 1.20 Bug Thread

Final Five option doesn't seem to be working right. Playing on a huge map at marathon speed, it tells me it will remove a player after 14900 turns (!) and the counter increases each turn.
 
This version is far more stable than the last one, I got crash free all the way up to turn 245, which is when my captured Jotnar city goes online, I'm playing Calabim, then it all goes puff. Is this a recurring issue?
 
So I think the balance issues with animals upgrading through combat have been discussed at great length, but there's another issue with the Archos (and I don't know what you want to do with their spider growth, as it's kind of the point of the civ-maybe make it exclusively upgrade with age?). They have a bunch of promotions available for Giant Spiders that are not available for Spider Swarms and Armies which come in two stages. I've had several attempts to use them in my current game, but the spiders upgrade before I can get the xp for another promotion.

I haven't payed the Archos, but the wild spiders I capture usually end up as swarms ~2 promotions after they become specialized.

On another note, I had some wierd spikes in the AC (10-15 pts) in marathon games. Setting are: large map, all special features, flavour start. Most extreme example was AC 8 to AC 25 in 1 turn, then back down to 8, 2 turns later. This happened around turn 250. Next time it happens, I'll make a save.
 
I'm not sure if these have been reported before that is alot of stuff to read on the bug thread so here goes with a few things I have noticed. First I would like to say I love the mod.


1. Bears strolling around out in the water. (These seams to be pretty common)
2. The mobile fort will not move.
3. Playing the mechanos the Adeptus seams to go crazy and wanders around on his own. He still flies my flag and does not attack me. Only played them three games but it seams to always be the first one I made that goes loopy. Didnt see anything that said they are supposed to do this.
4. Are flight of griffins supposed to be that powerful? Toughest I have seen is str 20 with a crap ton of promotions. They seam overly strong.

  1. Not a bug; Bears can swim. Just not in deep water. (In other words: Find them in Ocean and it's a bug. Find them in Coast and it's okay. ;))
  2. Mobile Forts should display "Route Native Railroad". At the least they do in the Pedia... Need to make sure they do in game. Basically, they can only move on Railroads.
  3. Refined Mana is able to mutate units. Currently mutation odds are set too high (For the Refined mana, just fine for Chaos). The unit running off by itself is fine, it's Enraged.
  4. Griffons are meant to be that strong, but they are NOT meant to spawn that early.
 
I hope something is done about the flight of griffins 20 str +100 str 4-8 first strike and 50% withdrawl that guy just wiped out every civ in the game I was playing. I was like turn 188 and it said he was 137 years old. My last city had 1 champ 3 archers and Lenora in it and he freaking ATE them. I guess they would be ok if their was only one in the game but being able to destroy cities is a bit much.

I'm still not totally keen on that. "Okay" is subjective. :p
 
just installed 1.20 and the dll patch. omg, by turn 60 i have a 1 pop capital in the middle of an ice rink... it doesn't matter which civ i pick. 5 games, all abandoned. :eek:

maybe i should pick one of the cold civs? :(

When you mouse over a plot, does it say "Becoming Boreal in x turns", or something similar? I was under the impression that had been fixed by the hotfix.
 
Did you install the hotfix correctly? You should be using the zipped file to overwrite the GameCoreDLL file.

Assuming it IS installed correctly, I'm not sure why you're still having issues. It should have been fixed, or at least it was for others.

If you want to continue your games, adopt a religion. The issue causing the freeze is from me not making sure you have a religion, before checking to see if your religion can freeze terrain. For some it caused crashes, others have their terrain freeze, others (Including myself) have no problems. :lol:
 
i only installed the dll shown on the main download page. that fixed the screenredraw hangs i was getting. if i install the hotfix will i be swapping one problem for another?
