I have one last question too, when the undercouncil votes to allow slavery your units are suppose to get a spell to buy slave units right? why doesn't it seem to work with the d'tesh?

also the barbarian dragon may be a bit overpowered...he moved and wiped out my lord dtesh along with most of my army by fire damage in one round:dubious:

D'Tesh cannot buy slaves. It would be extremely overpowered if he could, although I feel like there should be a better solution than just silently denying access after the resolution passes, since a lot of people report it as a bug.
 
Is there actually a bug with that resolution?
I haven't been able to buy slaves as the Mekara as well

maybe its the same issue as with my d'teshi, don't the mekara get their most powerful sluga units via slave...

as per it being a bug, I think most other civs can use it
at least I think I remember being able to buy slaves when I played clan of embers:dunno:

I have a repeating crash with this save. Actually I've never gotten to finish a game of Rise but I still have fun playing. sick puppy that I am. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated

Hello, here is my huge trouble. Maybe already talked about, but 30 pages to read ....

Is there a known display problem with non english version of BTS ?
Because lot of things doesn't appear on my screen, like for instance, the starting menu of the game. I can select, but everything is invisible. Also in game, lots of info are invisible. I could post a screen if needed.

Depends... If you're playing as Auric, then you can't change to any religion but the white hand.
There's also a 10-turn cooldown time in which you can't switch religion after you've just changed, just like with civics.

You need to set your language to English. (Launcher -> Edit ini -> Language -> set to "0".)

There's a bug which prevents you from switching religions if you have got religious units that would abandon you (e.g. heroes). You need to manually delete them before you can change your religion.
 
So Alcinus went rogue last turn. Luckily he was next to Korinna (the red lady) and a Cetratus, but when I attack him with either I get a CTD. Tried waiting till next turn and attacking him then but still CTD.


Edit1: Waiting till next turn and letting the Cetratus kill Alcinus' summoned skeleton and then Korinna attack Alcinus results in a CTD, but having Korinna kill the skeleton and then the Cetratus attack Alcinus doesn't.

Edit2: Again waiting till next turn, having first the Cetratus attack Alcinus (and die) and then letting Korinna finish him off works. But then I get a CTD when ending the turn.

Noticed 2 things in recent play.

I couldn't build fishing boats with the jotnar (working as intended?)

and I couldn't cast the luchuripn world spell after researching masonry.
 
Minor bug, but it comes with a solution:

If you try to play Somnium before you've encountered another leader, it throws a python exception and fails out. Here's why... In CvEventManager.py, function __EventSelectSolmniumPlayerBegin(self):

That is, sText is referenced whether it's instantiated or not (and if you haven't met any other civs, it isn't instantiated). Solution: move the line sText = u"" to before the first if statement.
 
I'm 366 turns into my game when I recive a message saying there was a memory allocation failure. The game then closes. I've tried going back a few turn to see if I could avoid this but it didn't work

is it when you load the game? you could try turning down graphics settings as that can have a pretty big impact as I've learned from people much wiser than me;)

World spells are now cast from the city screen, did you try looking there?

option : ancient city ruins
mods : maogata ; starting something ; Fall Under ; Mekaran Order;

I killed a goblin archer on a goblin fort.
(I've got a chaser (hunter UU), so on forest, I've got Forest sleath)
next turn a goblin appears on same tile.
I thought that if I claim the fort, I couldn't explore it ; so I explored the fort.
next turn the goblin claims the fort
Appears a fort commander.
I have to move a tile.
next turn the fort becomes a city with 2 archers on it.

All that is due to the fact that my unit was invisible.
But realisticly, with hunters on the fort, any spawning of units should have been crushed in the egg, each soldier after the other (more so as they are invisible).
I think, maybe that ruins, goblins fort, lairs, should not spawn units if they are both not hidden by the Fog of war AND empty. (or if there is a unit, even if invisible)
If empty but not seen, why not,
if seen but with a barb/demon guardian ... spawn is ok.
but in the case I was... bizarre.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of spawning on existing invisible units at any time; it just doesn't make gameplay sense.
 
I have strange color squares than I move cursor on my city (look at the picture, red ellipse). Any ideas?
