Gazaca and Ecbatana were both empty and thus reconquered.

The battle for Persepolis continues:

The crews handling our fire catapults must be on steroids. All 9 machines out of 9 hit their targets! :goodjob:

6 persian HC, 2 num mercs and 1 spear were killed in the assault.
We lost 1 hoplite and 1 HC

The siege of Persepolis is over!

Our fire catapults damaged the last defenders (3 HC) severly and our hoplites managed to capture the city at the loss of 1 hoplite.

Thus the war with Persia is over and their empire is conquered! :band:  [party]

The greek people are now looking forward to a period of peace and prosperity.

Qummik: You took over at a very difficult situation. You offered some rough resistance when you made your counterattack with heavy cavalry and managed to kill Alexander. Luckily i had some reserves so I could continue the offensive and eventually capture Persepolis.

All praise to a worthy opponent! :goodjob:

Here Here! To the Q! Good game!

(When I get the save do I send it to Q or is he done?)

nope, send it to me.

Rome offers it congratulations to Macedon, and condolences to Persia.
Qummik, you have been a great leader of Persia through a difficult time. If you had taken over at the start things may have been different, yet nevertheless you fought on with great skill and prowess. I take off my hat to you.
Rome hopes that with peace, Rome and Macedon may now work together to achieve prosperity.

I was planning on giving my remarks to quimmick on my next GPS post, but seeing as it might be a while, I'll do it here.

Good game quimmick, you did a lot with little resources in a bad situation. Your civ skills truly are quite impressive. :)

Is the save still moving?

Sorry. I had a lot of diplo to sort out, or maybe I'm just lazy.
