Rise of Rome revisited...

Im waiting for Sword of Leo. Lets give him a little more time.

I know how it feels to be in a cliff-hanger, Im exited too.

EDIT: A funny thing, we are at war with Egypt in TWO sucession games, and I am at war with Egypt in my SP game.

Cleopatra just doesnt play well with others.

Hi guys. I'm a bit of a noob to this forum but would like to get involved in a sucession game, and donsig said there was an opening in this game to join in the other thread. Been reading the thread and its great stuff, so i'm also appraised of whats going on and what needs to be done. Give us a shout back if there's a slot open.

Bear.

Us? :)

I think we're full here. But the decision lies with donsig. Personally I won't mind 7-8 people in a game. ;)

And I was just about to fall on Cleopatra like a million ton of bricks!

Unfortunately, no matter how I tried to continue my game, it'll give me an error and kick me out of Civ 3 ..... :( Stupid game. :hammer:

Ahhh. It's just he's posted in Hobbes' thread saying there was a couple of slots open, which is why I asked. If not, no probs.

:)

I put Golden Bear in the rotation after joespaniel. I'm not sure is jc011 is still playing and Swaord of Leo has been silent.

Just a note: Sword of Leo has until 5 pm GMT 12/28 (less than 24 hours). I think he said he can't play after Saturday so I'm considering him a temporary player. If I'm wrong and you're in for the duration Sword, just let us know!

With Sword being a temp and jc011 MIA we have 6 players.

Bearus I, a mythical leader, some say descended from beasts, took over the growing empire of Rome.

1320 Bear surveys his territory and immediately stamps his authority be telling Elizabeth to remove her puny archers from our borders.

1325 A caravel is prepared to sail for Egyptian heartlands.

1330 Our troops advance on Buto, the only isolated Egyptian city left.

1335 Our caravel finally sets off on the long journey to Egypt caryying 3 legionaires.

1340 Buto falls without the loss of any troops, giving us more supplies of both iron and ivory (need connecting) :goodjob: . On the downside, Bear is outraged to learn of empire wide rebellion over a lack of entertainment in the old Greek parts of the empire. He grudgingly gives in, but vows to clamp down on the trecherous swines eventually.

1345 Our caravel inches onwards, with more under construction at home. Magnetism, enabling more advances sea-faring, is started to be researched.

1350 Our caravel runs into stray Barbarian galleys.

1355 Caravel emerges without a scratch, now a veteran. Knights build up ready to be moved to the front line.

1360 England makes gains into Egypt, taking the prosperous Alexandria (had no less than 4 incense in its borders! :( ). However, a world map and navigation are obtained off Germany for world map, banking and 35 gold.

1365 England signs peae treaty with Egypt. Bearus I dies in mysterious circumstances while frolicing with his various concubines ;) .

Well, that's it. I only played about 10 turns, and it was more about preperation rather than actual conflict. Our caravel is nearly at Egyptian territory, and two more are awaiting to be loaded with knights to join it. Bach's Cathedral was completed by Germany  , so its been switched to Magellan's Voyage.

Sorry guys, that I took so long. I honestly forgot!

With all the hoop-la about the German game, I got side-tracked.:D

I am playing now.
