Argh! It's a Roddy!

sorry, will do update now. got home last night, and people wouldnt give me the computer. something about "we have to do this paper cause its due tomorow and we promised we'd help". basicaly my mom was doing someone elses philosophy homework. go figure.

EDIT: jason seems to be ignoring me. he reads the PMs i sent, but dont reply. ah well, guess i'll have to do france's orders for this turn. YUK.

oh crap.
sorry all, but i cant finish the update.
turns out i dont have Matty's (britain) orders either.
so many of you sent your orders twice that for some reason i had asumed that one of those was his. which was realy stupid of me.

so i'm missing orders from France and Britain. and i cant do both myself cause they're in an active war (ie attacking eachother). so if i do orders for both, no matter what i do, it'll be biased towards one or the other and also give me a big headache.

so if you know either Jason or Matt in real life, go kick them for me. if you have ways of contacting them other then PM or aim (like telepathy or something) then kick them that way, and get them to send their orders ASAP.

i'm gonna finish the update today.
i've got a "sugested orders" from one of France's allies, and i'll use those for france, once i figure out what i think britain should do.
[start of raving rant]
ok, now being officialy pissed at jason and matty, remind me to someday join a game of each of theirs (jason and mat's) and then just string them along with "i'm sending orders later today", and not send them.
jason i KNOW should know better. not sure if matty's modded games (especialy board games), but if has, he should know better then to do this. i mean WTH? why say you'll join the game if you're gonna post in it once and then ignore it?
i've posted here, sent PMs, Emails and have had their AIM names on "alert me when he logs on" for days now. NOTHING.
if neither of them is dead, i'm gonna start doing websearches for their addresses.
[/end of rant]

will finish update during the course of the day today, will proly post it about 1pm my time (will try to do most of the work during lunch hour), which is just over 3 hours from this post (for those in different timezones)

Mmmmmrf... I'll join and send some of the st00pid orders.
Who were they playing?

oh yeah, Matty was Britain right

hereee I go
umm...
care to NPC Britain for me a single round?
I need to understand the rules.

And so it dies again...

If this lives, I'd be willing to take a nation if you need me to.

Orders sent.

Roddy, I replied to your email about why I wasn't here. Also, this is the only NES i will remain in for a while, I think, so you should get orders more on time.

Jason

sorry for the no update on friday. i kept putting it off during the day hoping jason or matty would send orders, then some evil stuff came up, nothing serious, but i can now truthfully brag that i've gotten searched for weapons by a cop and then was taken to the police station in the back of a police cruiser.

anyway, have orders from jason now. glad you're back online jason. and will be forcing myself to do britain orders over the course of hte day, and then finish update.
matty sent a PM, but not with orders :( , he seems confused as to which update we're going forward from. can anyone explain why that may be? its beyond me.

erk im going crazy AHHHHH *jumps off a cliff* *cries* *sticks his head in sand* *begs for mercy* *climbs a hill with with a boulder tied to him* *gets attacked my a raven each morning* *buys a treadmill and treads for eternity* *flushes head down toilet*

:'( sorry guys my bad

Code:
nation, size, gold to spend.
Britain	46	112
Norway	23	175
Austria	3	77
Rome	1	17
Africa	74	169
France	19	79
Russia	11	141
Germany	5	65

dang forum been down. trying this again. hope its not double/triple posting it and telling me that it didnt work.

Naval Battles:

Sea L - Africa 3 vs Austria 2
The empty African ships outmaneuver the loaded Austrian ships and sink them while only loosing one of their own. The austrian armies sink with their ships.

Sea I - Africa 21 vs Austria 13
The massive African Fleet catches their enemy as they prepare to disembark onto Afrcican lands, and wipes them out. The Africans take heavy losses, but their number advantage more then makes up for it.

Land Battles:

Territory 62 - Norway 10 vs Russia 1
The lone Russian army is easily defeated by the numerous Norwegians.

Terriotry 63 - Russia 10 vs Norway 21 (with city)
after a single day of bloody fighting the Norwegians destroy the Russians and only suffer small losses.

Territory 59 - Norway 30 vs Russia 10
The Russians though heavily outnumbered, do some damage to Norway's armies before being wiped out. The town is destroyed during the heavy fighting.

Territory 61 - Norway 20 vs Russia 23 (with city)
After a day of fighting, both nations still have almost two thirds of their forces standing.
On the second day, the Russians take advantage of their knowledge of the terrain around Moscow and with a couple surprise attacks and quick retreats are able to wear down a good bit of Norways forces without sustaining almost any losses themselves.
A major battle on the third day ends in Norway's defeat, with Russia still keeping a sizable force.

Territory 55 - Rome 7 vs Africa 7 (with city)
The Romans show their military genious against the complacent city, long held by the Africans, and destroy its defending armies with only minimal losses. Taking the city itself on the second day is almost bloodless, but the citizen do burn down a lot of the infrastructure. (first roll made it 6 vs 1)

Territory 40 - Britain 16 vs Africa 14 (with city)
After a tragic loss on the first day, the African forces rally on the second day, and almost make it an even fight. but they are so worn out that on the third day are routed and abandon the city.

Territory 34 - Africa 36 vs Britain 40
Seemingly expecting help from their French allies, the Africans encounter a larger force they were not prepared to fight on their own. After 4 days of fighting, the British retain control of their military base.

Territory 7 - Britain 20 vs France 1 (the city)
The british forces easily take control of the French city, but some of it is burned down while the french citizens protest british rule.

Territory 14 - Britain 5 vs France 8 (with city)
The French have enough time to build up their defences and set up a successful ambush. The British armies are wiped out without killing a single french soldier.

Territory 26 - Africa 4 vs Austria 1

Taken without a fight: 56

thanks for alerting me to the fact that this thing had come back up jason.

edited the map and the gold totals into the update post.

will send the PMs with how you got those totals when i get home, gotta catch a train now.

Go Russia!

That was intense. 2 close and important battles at sea, 3 close and important battles on land ... both at sea victories, all 3 on land horrible defeats!

Promote my Admirals!
Execute my Generals!
Heck, let's just put the Admirals in charge of the Army...

ok, sending PMs with economy detail now. i had sent my spreadsheet to myself at home by email, but mistyped my own address (.com instead of .net) and so didnt get it. then missed work yesterday to get my driver's licence back (after 4 year suspension).

ok, PMs sent out. those should (in some cases) clear up who's allied to who. a few of you i sent out 2 PMs to, the first one is wrong, it for some reason (ie my dumbness) didnt take tax and upkeep into account when figuring out your gold to spend total.
the totals posted on the thread are right and they're also in the second PMs.

I am Jason.

you're not jason, you're sheep2. oh, missing comma in there. lol
anyway, just for verification:
mattyb2 = britain
erik mesoy = norway
sheep2 = russia
gruban= africa
jason the king = france
mjm = austria

germany and rome are NPCs. if anyone (ie toteone or jalapeno dude) want either of them, they're welcome to it.
